Lots of work on the bubble screen. Cam is making qbs and wrs do pushups for missed screen passes. Not today, but all season, practice or game.

Said there were no drops on the play today.

Andy dodd looks good.

Lamar Louis and kwon worked with the morning linebackers.
Not much info really.

Ql practices this afternoon.

LSU has added rashard Robinson To the roster.

I don't get how push ups help you catch better.

You do enough and you'll gain some focus.

Incentive. Probably particularly in practice where they might be more lackadaisical

Attention to detail, and accountability...something our offense may have lacked the last few years.

It's a mental thing. Makes you concentrate on what you are doing so u don't get called out in front of your buddies.

I would imagine it's more so forcing the guys to be more aware and focus on the details...or face the "punishment" of doing pushups for failing to do so. It's not that doing pushups will "help them catch better".

If you get tired of doing them, it could be a good tatic to make the players concentrate better on making the catch

I wonder how many push ups he makes them do.

I mean these guys are pretty good athletes. It would seem like 20 pushups wouldnt be a big deal

Its about focus. I had a coach in HS that would make us bear crawl to pick up any balls that we dropped.

I imagine the QB that is passing to the RB that keeps dropping balls would get pissed at him if he kept it up and vice versa if that QB threw a bad pass the RB couldn't catch. Both are held accountable.

Haha trust me doing 20 push-ups in between reps during 95 degree weather is not fun. They'll get their shite right.

Try dropping 4-5 balls and they add up quickly. Remember, you still have to go all out during practice and likely do sprints somewhere during the session as well.
