IF Jefferson plays a snap against Oregon then we know that Les Miles is not a man of integrity.

Regardless of the facts of the fight, he knowing led the team in breaking team rules as the team leader. That is not the type of leader I want on my team.

That's ok if all 4 of those players sit the bench until they get interviewed. Jarrett Lee should get the start until issue gets resolved.

The 4 players involved in the altercation shouldn't see a single snap in a game until they are cleared by the police department. Can't suspend any of the players without their due process. Innocent until proven guilty. Guys can ride the pine for now.

What is really the point of making them sit? I don't think that by them playing we could get into any NCAA trouble that would later make us forfeit so who cares. Why further punish the whole team by possibly taking a loss over a few players poor decisions. If we lose with everyone active then we deserve to lose. If we suspend players for something that could turn into false accusations and lose then everyone will be screaming for Miles head even more. Their is no loss of the team. The in house punishment they are receiving will make them think twice I can promise you.

Your self proclaimed team leader knowing led the team in breaking team rules.

There is a big point to sitting him.

So you'd rather see the players get suspended rather than giving them a fair hearing? It's one thing to not be allowed to participate in a game but a suspension stays on record. So you know beyond a reasonable doubt that these guys are absolutely guilty?

Translation: JJ can start against Oregon but when we don't need him against Northwestern he will sit and JL or Mett can easily win that game.

Sounds good to me!

From reading the article it sound more like the lawyer told the police they weren't coming down to the station until files are charged. Indefinitely doesn't mean they won't file charges Monday, especially if the only side of the story they have is from people who ended up in the hospital wanting to press charges.

It's more of a blow up in the face of those that are willing to cut off their own nose to spite their face.

This is more about so many seeing this as the best opportunity to see another QB start under center.

Try to be honest. I know it's tough for you.

All the fake outrage posters are out in full force again.

And lol at the if miles plays the players he has no integrity comment. Just admit that whatever the man does, the "fans" that hate him will always criticize him about something.

He looked pretty upset at the presser as well as the statement from Alleva about representing LSU in the proper manner. this all may close to being over with the BRPD but I believe that it is a long way from being over with Miles and company.

Because of the bill of rights--specifically the 5th amendment protection against self incrimination and the right to remain silent.

Suspects are not required to undergo interrogation by the police. Invoke your rights and shut your mouth.

? The second they thought they were suspects and questioned them they would lawyer up. How much time does it take to say..."I refuse to talk"

I would be perfectly okay with this if the police had paid the suspects a visit and given them a chance to refuse to talk, rather than for the police to just say "oh well frick it."

Look. Police can't make you answer questions.

quote:

They didn't even do it the next morning

May be because they were figuring out if anyone wanted to press charges? Or who exactly the suspects were or for a ton of other reasons you don't have a clue about.

In your case...if cops ran out that night with no time for "them to lawyer up" the players could of refused to talk to them...PERIOD.
