PMAC crowd is very apathetic

It was good to see some fannies in the seats, but the crowd is just there to watch and not there to help spur the Tigers on to victory. The football crowd is nationally known. The baseball crowd is second to none, and there is no debate to that. Maybe the basketball team needs a Chris Guillot, or a K Lady (of which she won the Texaco Gas Card fan of the game, but I didn't see her making a spectacle of herself cheering on the basketball Tigers).
The student section is just awful. The 20 or so that are there all of the time are not to blame, but 20 students do not energize the stadium that much. The 20 that try need more help. I don't want to hear the excuse of "It's a holiday, students went home..." What's the excuse the rest of the time? I didn't realize that 95% of LSU's students came from out of state. Are you telling me that no students from Ascension, Livingston, West Baton Rouge, and East Baton Rouge parents choose LSU as their choice of college?
Other than that, another good win by the Tigers.

We had E Eric but we took him for granted.

God I hope not, it is what it is. It's going to take alot for LSU fans to jump on the bandwagon

Dude go to more games before you come on here and bitch about the crowd. We have had some very energized crowds this year even with fewer people there.
The game never really got to a point where it would get the crowd pumped. We led pretty comfortably all game and it's UGA.

Well what do you want to talk about, Choctaw? What's JJ been up too?

How many students showed up?
30 or so in the Maravich maniacs.

I'll fully admit that I don't make many basketball games. But I do follow them on the radio, tv, and of course, on here. I am aware of what the atmosphere is like for the most part.
You telling me that LSU never leading by more that 10 points in the 2nd half is a comfortable lead? While LSU was in control, the game wasn't put away until 17 seconds were left. Ironically, that was the only time the crowd ever did anything to acknowledge the team, or the effort.
I won't bore you with stories of yesteryear and Daddy Brown, but I will ask you to turn on your tv any night of the week and ask yourself if those college basketball crowds on tv wait for "a point where the crowd can get pumped" before they stand and cheer.

That isn't very accurate. Most students, like myself, swipe in and sit where ever they want. Not many people want to be seen sitting there.

1. Its not a holiday. we had school today.
2. There were many more students there than you realize. Most just tend to rightly avoid the star-trek convention crew known as the maravich maniacs and spread themselves around the band and other sections in that area. If they were all required to pack in close it would look much better.

Class is now an excuse for not going to night games on campus? Students have changed

Oh, I see. Most of the students are too cool to cheer for the basketball team. Do these same students request West Upper Deck tickets at the football games so that they can sit down and not have to stand up?
Seriously, I did see many students sitting in the upper levels. But why don't you want to cheer for the basketball team?

I said that in response to the OP who said people would use the holiday as an excuse.

Because it's not "the cool thing to do."
Although we did have two guys sitting right in the middle about 4 rows up who were absolutely wasted tonight. Made for some good laughs
