The SEC is deeper as a conference from top to bottom.

Well here's the point that everybody with a brain understands. If you are expecting LSU to have a run of complete domination, like they did in the 90's you are NEVER going to be satisfied. You know why nobody is a "premier" program? Because nobody can do that anymore. Why is this concept so difficult to understand?
I mean I can make an argument that LSU is just as good or better than every program you listed except Vanderbilt.
My point is that LSU is still one of the premier programs in baseball. No we’re not the sure fire end all be all of baseball anymore but it’s not like anyone has exactly taken our place. We’re still right there.

So, is the SEC the premier conference in college baseball? Why can't you answer that simple question?
Those of you who spew the most ignorant crap even know that ridiculous you are being. You can't answer any question, because you know it'll be responded to with facts that highlight just how stupid you people are being.

If you want an actual discussion, post a criticism that actually has basis in reality. The problem you’re having in this thread is that you’ve instead posted nonsense.

I really don’t get why this is so hard to understand. No one here thinks Mainieri is infallible. No one here thinks LSU has won enough national championships. We can have discussions as to the how or why. But if you’re just going to make up shite then I, for one, am going to call you out on it.

They absolutely are. The only way they aren't is if you compare LSU of the past 10 years to LSU of the 90's, but that's completely foolish. When you stack LSU up to other programs of the last 10 years, then they are clearly still a premier program.

It’s nonsense because you disagree. Got it.
There are a bunch of folks who aren’t LSU fans who would agree whole heartedly.

You’re now saying the SEC is not the premier college baseball conference?

You sound like a person that knows he is a dumbass, and is backed into a corner with his own stupidity.
7 of the top 12 teams in college baseball are from the SEC, but you won't say that the SEC is the best conference. Because you know if you do, I'll show you that LSU is at the top of the conference in nearly everything. Thus, making them a premier program.

I’ve already stated that I agree Vandy is doing better than us right now.
Tell me why, in your opinion, Florida is doing much better? Please reference their recent season results in your response.
Did you know Oregon State’s longtime HC, Pat Casey, retired? Are you expecting them to carry on like nothing has changed?

4 SEC teams were in Omaha last year. Let me say again..... a full HALF of the teams in Omaha last year were from the SEC

You know, I could sit here and explain myself but frankly I don't give a frick. I'm an LSU grad and fan, and have been following baseball a lot longer than some of you who are arguing with me, so whatever. LSU is not what we used to be in baseball, and as I agree with that guy nobody will ever be that level. That I agree with. But I'm also not gonna sit here and circle jerk with a handful of other guys and stick out my SEC chest. Because there have been a bunch of other teams from other conferences in the last 20 years that have competed and won just as the SEC has:
quote:
2019 Vanderbilt
2018 Oregon State
2017 Florida
2016 Coastal Carolina
2015 Virginia
2014 Vanderbilt
2013 UCLA
2012 Arizona
2011 South Carolina
2010 South Carolina
2009 LSU
2008 Fresno State
2007 Oregon State
2006 Oregon State
2005 Texas
2004 Cal St. Fullerton
2003 Rice
2002 Texas
2001 Miami
2000 LSU

Everyone thought, including the Ore St president, that Casey was going to return as head baseball coach. But he announced 3 days after the June 1 deadline that he was staying retired.
My guess is he looked at the roster he would have and said nope.
One last bit of irony, former LSU President F. King Alexander takes over as President of Oregon State in July.

In the last 20 years the SEC has won 7 CWS. The next closest is the PAC-12 with 5 and their last one was 6 years ago. The SEC has won 3 since then.

PAC: 5/20, 3 teams represented, 3 of the last 10
ACC: 4/20, 3 teams represented, 1 of the last 10
There’s very clearly one conference standing apart there.

Clearly you do give a frick, because you are in here arguing. You are refusing to answer questions, admit the obvious, or explain yourself, because you know you are wrong.
