Please remain calm. It’s an early game against a likely tourney squad.

No reason to be upset for more than an hour or so

Tough loss on the road against unranked VCU.

Game #2 of how many?

And they were in it despite some terrible shite.

Wade will fix it.

Agree. We had 2000 turnovers and the refs sucked VCU's dick most the night. On the road with a great crowd and we almost pulled it off.
This team has deficiencies but that was a hell of a game.
Geaux Tigers.

February is when teams make the tournament. It takes time for all of the players to gel. It'll happen. If we drop three in a row in SEC play, then we can worry a tad. Watch them develop over time.

It's hard to prepare for fouls, refs call it different each game. Turnovers are a problem but it'll work itself out. Good early season battle, but disappointing on the 20+ turnovers.

Considering VCU's fans were packed in there making noise like it was a national championship game, VCU basically has all seniors, Wade left them, LSU had 25 turnovers and they were in the double bonus with about 9 minutes left in the game, it was impressive that it came down to the last second. LSU made a great comeback down 13 or 14. Just need to play under control a little more in the last minute next time.

LSU lost a close game to a good team on the road. Sucks to play as sloppy as we did, but this is far from the end of the world

Last year's team started slow too. Wade will get them playing better. With the home cookin refs, terrible. It shows that these tigers don't quit, cut down the turnovers and its a different ball game.

Last year we didn't look too hot early on and lost by 13 to a bad Oklahoma State team in that tournament. LSU shot 51% for the game, 41% from 3, shot 76% on free throws, outrebounded them by 1, but had 26 turnovers and 25 fouls. A few less turnovers and LSU wins the game. That was about as tough of a non-conference environment that any team will face and they still took it down to the last play with 26 turnovers. That's very encouraging (though the turnovers weren't).
