Even though my wife agreed to start dinner 1.5 hrs before kickoff, I still I had to finish the main course & have dessert in front of the TV by myself. She is a procrastinator so despite my hefty contribution to preparing the meal, we still didn't sit down until 15 min before kickoff. I'm sure I catch some complaining about that in the next few days. I didn't want a repeat of 2010 when I mostly listened to the Saints @ Cowboys will setting up the table & finalizing dinner. I prefer the game on Sat. or, 2nd choice, on Black Fri.

. Look at Texas A&M, they couldn't even sell out the game. 85k for a 105k stadium looks and sounds like it sucks.

It wasn't exactly a marquee game this year

I too prefer Friday PM or Saturday. Thanksgiving games are like Thursday night games during the regular season to me. Games other people play for our entertainment.

I liked it as a great Thanksgiving day ending but like the traditional Saturday better. (Friday is tolerable)

Thought it was great! Brought the whole family, including 3 young kids seeing their 1st Tiger game. They all absolutely loved it and stayed completely engaged until the end. They all had a blast! We'll do thanksgiving dinner tomorrow and be thankful we were able to spend Thanksgiving as a family watching the Tigers win.

Aggies plan on playing the game on Thanksgiving every year they're the home team. LSU plans on Friday or Saturday depending what CBS wants.
Me, a makers and leftovers was great for watching for game

We'll see if they stick to that if we only get one bye week from here on out. I'll also be interested to see if LSU then has some leverage to re-open the issue with the SEC. It is a competitive disadvantage unless the SEC can grant a waiver for a 2nd bye just for that game (which may not even be possible).

That is the whole point, you wouldn't need to switch days if they had kept it the same "Friday or Saturday"

I don't want to bend to TAMU's traditions, they should be bending to ours!!!

I went to the game and it kinda sucked. Traffic the day before was kinda bad and a lot of things were closed. The Friday or Saturday are better days.

It's a mistake in my opinion to go against the NFL on thanksgiving. The rest of the country watches the NFL on thanksgiving.

We don't play on Sunday and Monday nights and the SEC doesn't schedule games on Thursday nights against the NFL.

College football is on Saturdays.

we will play every other year there on thursday and most likely continue to play the hom game on friday. They gave us our night games this year, but prob just to shut us up. Wont happen anymore and we will continue to be the bitch of the sec with Joe Alleva.

Who eats Thanksgiving Dinner at night?

We've always had Turkey Day and Christmas Dinner at 12:00 noon or 1:00 p.m. so we can eat and then eat again!

Everyone I know does it exactly this way. I watched the LSU game while eating leftovers. I hope to do it again next year, and for many years to come.

As long as it's not at noon when we eat, I'm fine with it. It does keep me from my post turkey power nap, but I can deal.

I agree. Thanksgiving is already set up for football, and since my Friday was free, it was awesome not having to see Ar-Kansas and that boot thing.
