Not only was this guy innocent, but he literally fell on the sword and pled guilty to child molestation to prevent his accuser from having to go through cross examination?
This is not some rare unheard of thing that never happens....you can find many cases of this.

I remember reading the details of the case in 2017 and thinking it was very possible that the kid got railroaded by an ex-wife fighting for custody. There’s obviously no way to know for sure if he actually did it or not.
That said, I still don’t understand what it has to do with Pat Casey and do not believe the situation is relevant in discussing Casey’s potential hiring as LSU’s baseball coach.

Personally I think playing LH isn’t a great look but it’s hard for me to condemn him for it given that other criminals are given opportunities in every sport. Look no farther than Guice and Drake Davis. If you’re good, people will give you a chance no matter the baggage.
His age is my issue. We don’t need a 62 year old coach that’s already retired cuz he couldn’t do the job elsewhere.

You’re an imbecile.
You have zero evidence he was ever truly guilty. They had a 6 yr old’s word, which was 100000% assisted.
And if you trust the legal system, you’re mentally challenged. Kid took a plea deal at the advice of his legal team. Kid got treatment for something he claims today he didn’t even do. All prior to attending OSU.
Bottom line is you’re going off the rails on something you read from the media and then placing some kind of sick mentality on Pat Casey.
I could not care less about Luke Heinrich, but the Pat Casey hate is foolish and it makes people look foolish for pouting over it. Get the frick over it.

Dude, you’re making a fool of yourself. You obviously have no clue how our legal system works. Innocent people plead guilty to some type of charge every single day in nearly every county in the country. This is a huge part of a prosecutors job actually.
From the website linked:
“Based on Washington juvenile court caseload statistics for 2017, there were 591 kids in the local county who pled guilty vs. 12 who insisted on a trial. Of those 12, ten were adjudicated guilty and two were acquitted. So, all you foolhardy pundits who confidently proclaim you would never plead guilty to something you didn’t do, how do you like those odds?
Fact is, a single judge (not a jury) decides the fate of these juveniles. With alarming statistics like the ones mentioned above, along with the promise of the entire case being sealed as if it never happened after 5 years, the vast majority of parents will choose to take the plea. I’d bet the parents of the 10 of 12 mentioned above that were found guilty wish they would have decided differently. They never stood a chance.

No parent in their right mind would tell their innocent son to sign a plea deal for sexual abuse.
There is no planet where that makes sense..... if your son is actually innocent.

If you call presenting facts as “knighting for a pedo enabler”, then you’re as stupid as your comment sounds.

Fact, he Hemlich himself admitted guilt. frick off with the rest of your bullshite.
You don't say you're guilty of something like that if you aren't.

Jesus dude, we have people who work in law-enforcement and lawyers On here saying it happens all the time. Are you just mad bc you’re wrong and don’t want to admit it? You’re really making yourself look very unintelligent

You have two options:
1) trial in which case a judge can make a decision for the alleged victim even if there’s zero physical evidence. You are taking a chance here.
2) take a plea deal where after 5 years it all goes away completely and during those 5 years it’s a sealed case with no one knowing
Even an innocent person takes the plea simply to avoid the uncertainty.

"All the time" people admit to sexual abuse charges that they did not commit? Sure guy

An innocent person goes to trial and proves their innocence. You kinda left out the most logical option.

Yes, that is a fact. They absolutely do.

You’re insinuating that the kids would get a jury trial, and that doesn’t happen. A single judge makes the call.
