If ND goes 10-2 losing to the only 2 ranked opponents they play they better not dare put them in over a 9-3 SEC team

They won't. They'll select 0-1 loss UCLA.

Or 1-loss Wake Forest

Or 1-loss BYU/Utah/TTU

2-loss ND and 3-loss SEC will be on the outside looking in.

If ND ends up 10-2, theyre likely going to take them for that 4th spot over any 9-3 SEC team, as sad as it is with their lack of reasonable wins.
who would their best win be against? People are saying committee needs to come up with a strength of schedule metric when they already openly did come up with one for this season. I guess we’ll have a better idea when the first polls come out but as someone who died on the hill that a 9-3 team wouldn’t get in the playoff in prior years and was right, there’s reason to believe that won’t be the case this year. If they’re true to their word then a 9-3 SEC team as the strongest conference will get a minimum of 4 teams and way this seasons going highly doubtful 4 teams go 10-2

12 teams - 1 group of 4 team, likely 1 ACC team (miami). You're vying for 1 of 10 spots.

Right off the bat your main premise is flawed. 1 G5 team and the other 3 P4 Conf Champions are automatically in. So from jump, LSU is vying for 1 of 8 spots. There are inherently 4 spots that LSU (as a member of the SEC) has no possible way to secure.

The BS on Notre Dame getting special treatment has to stop. They get in no matter what.
