Was there something said a few weeks ago about the girls basketball team possibly playing an outside game in Tiger Stadium in the future?

Mulkey wants to do it which means it’ll happen.

That would break attendance records and be an unprecedented event in women’s basketball!!
How great would that be for recruiting!

Would be a lot of slipping and sliding with the humidity here.

I think Mulkey mentioned something about it one time and would like to play Southern
The novelty of it would probably draw a decent crowd but I don't see 70,000 fans turning out for it

Hard to see that happening. Just too many variables that could go wrong to plan in advance.

You can't play in November because, obviously, there is another tenant who is still using the stadium.

It's very unlikely an SEC game would be played outdoors. That removes Jan - March.

So that leaves you essentially with one month...December. The whether in BR can be very unpredictable in Dec. It's generally one of the wetter months of the year. And if it is humid outside no one is playing basketball because it would be terribly unsafe to play on a wet floor. You also run the risk of an unpredictable cold snap.

Don’t give Woody anymore ideas about needlessly dumping more millions into Tiger Stadium. Retractable roof here we come.

Yes, there was some talk but only because Iowa did it. It would only work possibly if opponent was South Carolina or Iowa.

Iowa's was an exhibition game in October. But there is one HUGE difference between Iowa and LSU. Iowa's football stadium has turf field. Tiger Stadium doesn't. There is no way Brian Kelly allows the TS field to potential to be torn up in the middle of the season just to play an exhibition game.

If LSU's WBB thinks they can draw 50k to a game...go to the Superdome. Dale used to do that in the 80's

Iowa has a turf surface. Laying a basketball court on it doesn't kill the grass the way it would in Tiger Stadium.
