How do you know he didn't start the fight and was just protecting himself? Were you there? Was Jefferson in any kind of danger while the guy was on the ground? If he truly didn't do anything then let him back on the team after the criminal proceedings are final. What ever time he loses is his lesson learned for being at the wrong place at the wrong time. He will know better next time.

I don't boo players, but c'mon, what did the players expect to happen? JJ, guilty or not, was the face of the team this season and gave the entire university a huge black eye.

Jarrett Lee has more class than most here on this board, the fact that he stayed this long at LSU should prove that beyond a shadow of a doubt.

I just hope the players understand the people booing and talking shite all the time are just immature jackasses who live their lives through the players and the team since their own pathetic lives add up to a big pile of horseshite.

black eye or not. man, you don't boo a player for your own team, that's inexcusable! Besides, no one knows exactly what happened with that incident, it is still mysterious, but the booing is BS!!
I also believe there was more to the booing than just people booing because he got in trouble, some folks just don't wanna see the kid play period because they feel Lee has them playin good, which is BS I say!

Are the players going to start playing worse to spite the fans? JJ put himself in a bad situation and now a lot of irrational people (this makes up a great deal of our fans) dislike him.
Booing amateur athletes is dumb, but again, what the frick did the team expect? Every fan base boos at some point. This isn't something that's going to destroy our program.

It is good for the players to see what they really are to some "fans". It should keep them grounded in reality and humbled.

Well you can't do anything about it. I've been in the stadium a ton of times when fans have booed for much more ridiculous reasons than that. This fan base isn't a collection of football aficionados that are 100% level-headed. We have a bunch of drunk, irrational fans. With that, you get incredible passion for the team, both good and bad.
