The players that returned this year from last years national championship team seem to have not learned much about being a champion.

Two Things I noticed just from yesterday,

1. Brennan throws a TD pass to go up 21-14 against Missouri and he is pointing at the vein on his arm like he has “ice” in his veins.

2. Marshall waving at the Mizzou defender on the ground after that goal line catch at the end of the game

3. Lack of effort on defensive side of ball from play one. Defense is so soft. Avoiding contact. Running with the opposing offensive players, back pedaling, as they grab another 15-25 yards and/or a TD.

These guys won a title last year. They know LSU is a far superior program than Missouri. I don’t think Joe celebrated until pointing at that hand for a ring last year after waxing Clemson’s arse in the national title game.

This to me has been disappointing. These guys just don’t get it. They aren’t likable. They don’t have true leadership abilities. They want to look cool and they don’t see the big picture.

This year is going to be a major dumpster fire. Coach O needs to begin preparing for that and begin to make decisions on what is best for the program in the following years....

TBH, I think this is the deeper issue. I don’t know what happened or what changed.

Is it just the complete power vaccum where all of the leaders left and coaches aren’t doubling down on enforcing structure?

Or they did and the players are being petulant about suddenly being yelled at compared to last year?

This isn’t just a scheme issue. Hell Pelini is putting up a pretty vanilla defense scheme that focuses on the fundamentals.

He didn’t coach for them to now run away from the tackle.

I don’t know what’s happening. But there is a definite attitude component here. And as much as people want to quote Hanny on the bad performance directed towards Pelini, he spent far more time talking about how the coaches need to shake some sense into the players about how much NFL money they are costing themselves.

They are half assing everything.

I think there may be an ego problem at the top also.

I get the point you’re making but Burrow celebrated and talked shite all the time & that was part of the swagger the team had. At the same time they were prepared and backed it up.

This year we have Clark flexing after he makes one tackle for loss after missing assignments the entire game. That is pathetic.

This & the coaches lost the team.

Time for people to get benched across the board. Coach O needs to step up and be the jackass he was at Ole Miss now that he has clout. You're either with this team and you're gonna fight or the door is there for you to walk through. LSU is giving these guys exposure for the NFL and they wanna squander it.

Yeah, we never saw Burrow make any gestures...ever. Never waving to a crowd, never ever.

You would be absolutely incorrect. Did you watch any of the games. They are probably on youtube.

You’re right. Burrow did make gestures, however, we was actually WINNING the games and doing so against TOP 10 TEAMS and it was obvious the team 100% supported and backed him up.

Brennan hasn’t done jack shite to pretend like he has ice in his veins.

The whole culture is off and it won’t get better this calendar year. Even if they get in position to possibly win a game, they won’t know how to. Yesterday proved that if you didn’t already know.

Joe was in his second year of leading the program. He had won a New Years 6 bowl. He had defeated Top 10 Texas on the road. Joe has the respect of the team.

Brennan has not shown to be 1/1,000,000 of the leader Joe was. He never will be.

Brennan is 4 years into the program and is 1-2 as a starter. Joe came in and took over this program week one back in 2018 by fighting the defensive players at practice.

Brennan isn’t winning anything of significance at LSU. However, I guess it’ll look cool to see him point to his cool hand Luke veins when he tosses his game winning TD against Arkansas to finish 3-7!

Joe waved goodbye to Texas fans, told vandy he’d throw fir 500 on them mid game, as well as many other minor “cocky” things and we loved it so don’t tell me about our players talking shite being a problem.

The defense sucks cuz no one knows what they are doing. That’s on the DC. The other thing that really pisses me off is they are watching our D sleep walk out there and they don’t put a single backup in to light a fire or see if anyone else can make any plays.

If you honestly think Brennan is the problem then I’m not sure what you are watching. He’s not perfe t but he looks a hell of a lot better than anyone we’ve ever had pre burrow

Lol Brennan was 0/10 on 3rd down yesterday and didn’t have the wherewithal to call his own shot to get a football pushed 2 feet into end zone.

Guy has kool aid in his veins, not ice.

My point, this team doesn’t know how to win. No leaders.

Except be one of the few glimmers of hope on the entire fricking team. The kid is playing his arse off with an O line that can’t even get a push against Missouri’s back ups on the 1 yard line to get a running back in the end zone.

The entire team except for maybe 5 players is complete garbage
