Again, I'll be at traction in two hours.

Do you think I'm going to post about a different team? I'm an lsu fan. Dont really care about how the other schools are faring tbh.
Well, when you make a claim that LSU pitchers suffer arm injuries at a higher rate than other programs, the rate of injuries of other teams is pretty relevant. SO I guess this is you admitting you don't have any idea what you're talking about. Thanks for clearing that up

You guys are missing the point. I am concerned for the student athletes

no one is missing the point. you are just completely out of touch with reality

noted. Then stop blaming Mainieri and Dunn and talking out of your arse to justify yourself. Nothing Mainieri and Dunn are doing is causing arm injuries. It's fine to be concerned with the rise in arm injuries, but you don't seem too concerned with the root of why they are and instead start blaming all the wrong people. That's why you have been getting destroyed ITT

State had 8-9 pitchers out for the season due to injury in 2016. Mangum and Gordon both position players who hadn't pitched since high school were pitching in SEC games.

correct. I suspect it is the workload they are asking of their players that contribute to the problem. also factor in a lack of recruiting by the hc. this thread is full of the homer brigade blaming kids and their tball coaches for pitching too much before they reach campus.
I don't really buy that as a total answer.
Does mega pitching exacerbate the problem? surely.
did players in the past pitch more than kids of this generation? yes. I'm not talking about 20 years ago, there has obviously been an uptick recently. I'm talking about 80 years ago.
What has changed since then? almost everything. Maybe one of these millionaire coaches should think outside of the box and instead of groupthink, form a theory and test it.
im not a person who just reads two or three popular opinions of the time and agree blindly.
Again, people used to think the world was flat.
I have NEVER blamed dunn for anything, and im sure yall have scarfed down my entire 8 year post history by now and know the truth of that.
I have been anti menaerei for years. Same as I was anti chavis before that became popular. Read that far back, I used to get roasted for saying beckwith should start over welter.
I was the first person really making that point, and it took a few months to catch on. Given, I know a lot more about football than baseball, but seriously, there is a problem and if no one is going to sound the alarm, for the kids sake, I'll do it.
I dont even let my kid pitch. at all. Its because no one has a good answer on this exact subject.

yall keep bringing up state, but it hurts your argument seriously. they had an ex lsu guy running thier program, literally coaching and preparing the practice and scrimmage loads of these EXACT KIDS
Eta: i may be off on the time by a fwe months, cannizaro may not not been handling that. Still though, even still, it would be an outlier. Wow, you can point to one or two schools out of 200 that have had a worse case of this than lsu. That means we have problems.
why wait until now to be so passionate about it? Hello, jaden hill is a RED FLAG

State's pitching injury problem actually started in 2015 with pitching coach Wes Johnson. AC inherited a depleted pitching staff with a bunch of guys rehabbing from Tommy John surgery.

You’re either really stupid or trolling. Take your pick.
