i think the team shared the same sentiment that they don't really care what they do in this tournament. Ross has been awful the entire second half of the season and u dont pitch him against a lefty ace if you really want this game tonight.

WTF, Ross gave up 2 runs?????

We couldn't hit and Hanover screwed up the sac bunt opportunity in the 2nd. that's why we lost.

Actually I disagree here. I think that it was a good opportunity for Coach to see how Ross can handle the pressure of being the first game starter. In my opinion it shows us that he can start him in game 1 of the regional vs. a Southern or SWAC team.

I would have hated to waste Coleman or Ranaudo tonight because we would have still lost.

It does make you feel good that we still have those guys the next couple of days and we should atleast win 1 game.

so, who was going to get the shutout lsu needed tonight? you are right, we should have wasted coleman, lose, and then don't have him for tomorrow, that would have been awesome

giving up two runs over 7 innings isnt pitching well?

We pitched ross against the 8 seed and took our chances that we'd outscore them. That didnt happen.

quit making excuses.

im not saying it's ross's fault. im saying the team did not take the game seriously bc they took a cue from the coach by who he pitched tonight.

Dude,

Did you see Mainieri's face in the 9th inning? He looked like he wanted to beat the shite out of someone. He cared!!

LSU's goal should never be to win the SEC tournament. A wise old coach who used to sit (or stand) in the LSU dugout only pushed his team to win one game, that way all 3 starting pitchers would be assured of their work for the week. Other than that, he didn't care.

YOU'RE A frickING IDIOT. Ross gave up 2 runs you ignorant POS. How can you say "pitching ross showed how much maneri cared about this game"???? If we score our season average of runs (around 7) we win easily. Seriously GTFO and you

You're an idiot. Maineri was testing his regional rotation. They cared alot about this game but it's baseball and sometimes ya can't hit a pitcher; you know nothing about baseball.

Scoring ONE run will not win you too many games.......I thought Ross was one of the bright spots tonight.

Wow....

So preparing for the back end of the tourney is not caring? You would have probably started Renaudo and put Coleman in relief, huh?

all i am saying is that he was more interested in seeing how ross would pitch in this game then he was in winning it. the big picture.
