We just recorded the podcast and talked about it. I'd throw Peterson and the bullpen. I need Lange at full strength next week and those were an intense 125 pitches on Thursday.

Throw someone besides a weekend starter on Wednesday.
Lange Thursday.
Poche Friday or Saturday, whether we win on Thursday or not.
Ideally, we win Thursday, and Poche throws Saturday. Then throw someone besides a weekend starter on Sunday in the championship.
Get Walker 2-3 innings of work somewhere in there. Ideally, Lange goes 5 innings on Thursday and we can get him some rest. Then Walker can come in and get some work that day.

I think you just go with Lange Poche Walker thurs through Saturday. This is the third week in a row with that schedule so they would be fine and gives Lange and Poche at least one day extra rest for regionals. If you don't make it to Walker a week off probably wouldn't be the end of the world for him and you could use him in the first game of regional. I would also have Lange in a strict lower than usual pitch count.

It'll be interesting what happens with Walker because we'll be playing today's SWAC winner almost certainly to open the NCAAs. Neither require Lange or Poche starting imo (CPM has gone different ways in this spot depending on opponent), so it might be Walker on that Friday.

I would throw Hess/Peterson first game. Get the other bullpen guys some work...win or lose. Poche, Lange after that and have them both on a pitch count. I think it all boils down to if we stay in the winners bracket or we are fighting out of the losers bracket on which path PM takes.

Walker probably starts the regional opener but depending on who it is Peterson wouldn't be bad

Right so he basically can't start a game unless it's on Friday (assuming we lose Thursday).
He shouldn't start a game. Just let him get some work at some point this weekend and that's it.
