quote:you are aware that when Jay Johnson refers to a left handed position player, he’s referring to their bat, right?
You think JJ is about to put left handlers at SS And/or 2nd?
And you are aware that left handed hitters can throw right handed, right? Like I don’t know this season when a right handed pitcher is starting and both of our middle infielders hit from the left side of the plate? Or when either of the backup freshman come into hit, and hit from the left side?

quote:the entire point of my somewhat hyperbolic post was that these two players can (and likely will) be every day starters, even if they’re both on the team. They do not have to transfer to do that. In fact, it would be more beneficial to both of them long term to go that route.
“they will 100% both be in the lineup everyday next year”….
Jesus Christ. Why was that so difficult to understand.

None of this is rocket science. I’ve already stated all these points….
But I’m 95% sure you're a dumbass…. And I made up that 95% on the same calculation as the percentages you threw out earlier…. Pulled straight outta the arse.

In an effort to argue against the Bide/Serna combo, and using Jay’s affinity for LHH, you said I was an idiot for suggesting that our middle infielders could hit from the left side.
Clearly this is some form of rocket science for you.

304tiger: agree but this is the same thing we said last year.

That’s a good core of pitchers. We need to give them a dependable catcher, defense and run support.
were set at catcher..alot of the catcher issues are pitchers who dont throw the ball where there supposed to go

Pitching could be interesting next year
They say that every year, and here we are again suffering yet another cumulative substandard effort on the mound this season. Talent is coachable, so either we have substandard talent or substandard coaching.

Just leave him as a closer, CJJ always thinks too much with Guidry.
Guidry is a trash talking closer whose confidence looks shot every single time he’s counted on for something more than he is. If he wouldn’t have done as well early and he did, I think if not he would’ve transferred to play in the field and bat, but that ship has sailed.

We're "set" at catcher b/c Jay is going to play Serna and Arrambide. However, they are bad behind the plate. Yes, we have pitchers who are wlld, but our catchers miss routine pitches too. We are over two months into the season and they both look like they are playing with a mitt that has never been broken in b/c they can't squeeze a strike.
