not sure the schedule of our games or how spread out our games may be, but if we make it to a third game (knock on wood), is it spread out enough to have ranaudo go again or will ross have to step in?

basically im just wondering about a schedule for our games so i can get an idea of who may pitch in what game

If we win Saturday and Monday, we don't play again until Friday.

If we win and win again......Ross doesn't pitch.

If we win and then lose....... Ross pitches. If ross wins then maybe Ranuado again.

If we lose game one..........Coleman wins, then Ross wins, then Ranaudo.

If we're in the winner's bracket, yes. If we're in the loser's bracket, no.

If we win Saturday and Monday, we play in the winner's bracket on Friday, having to win one game on Friday to advance to the Championship series.

No. If we win Sat and Mon, we don't play until Friday as I said. We'll play on Wednesday if we lose either Sat or Mon.

Correct. If we go 3-0:

Sat - Ranaudo
Mon - Coleman
Fri - Ross
Mon - Ranaudo
Tue - Coleman
Wed - ??? Bradshaw ???

If we have to come out of the losers' bracket:

Sat - Ranaudo
Mon - Coleman
Wed - Ross
Fri - ?Ranaudo (but lose him for champ series)
Sat - Bradshaw
Mon - Coleman
Tue - Byrd
Wed - Ross

If we win Sat and Mon.....Ross will not pitch friday. Ranaudo would go again.

I dont' think you are close to right on the losers bracket projections, me thinks Mainieri will do whatever possible to keep us alive in the losers bracket. If he really pitches coleman in our 2nd game (i doubt it, i think he uses him 1st) then I believe he'd pitch him again on Friday or Saturday if we made it that far.

I disagree 100%. We would be in the drivers seat and someone would have to beat us twice. We have a quality starter in Ross available. If Ross gets that win then you have Ranaudo available for the championship series. Now if Ross loses Friday then you come back with Ranaudo on Saturday, and of course lose him for the championship series.

I see......I forgot about being in the drivers seat. If ross lost, we would still have a shot. You got a good point.

+1

This is why staying int he winners bracket is so important. You can win with 2 dominant pitchers.

It could go like this:

Saturday==Renaudo
Monday====Coleman
Friday====Renaudo
Monday====Coleman
Tuesday===Renaudo on short rest?? or Ross
Wednesday=Ross or Renaudo

Who knows? But isn't it great to have this stuff to disagree about? Ole Miss fans are fighting about whether to fire Bianco.
