Expecting several freshman to step up and play a pivotal role is delusional.

Just in the past 2 years we've had: Hess, Hilliard, Labas, Walker, Watson, Smith, and Cabrera all not only step up and play very "pivotal" roles, but be our best/one of our best players at their position. frick outta here with that

He didn't look very good in the 1st couple of games until he got hurt. I'm not saying that makes him a bad SS. I'm just saying that he didn't look good (at SS) at any point this year. Even if he only played in 6 games total.

Like I said...hopefully next year is different. I'd like nothing more than for Smith to become legit SS.

We'll definitely need his bat. He seems to have added power to his game. 2 HR's in 16 ab's this year.

He had a stress reaction, there wasn't some incident where he got hurt. There was no "until." He was actually playing hurt. Don't you think that may have had some effect on his play at SS?

I thought I heard that he was playing injured in the whole first series, but I might be wrong. I was working a ton at the time and a lot of things run together.

Sanders will be testing the water, last year he was picked in the 18th by San Diego. He is looking to go higher with a larger bonus this year.

I got a sneaky suspicion that Cam Sanders made himself some money at the SEC Tourny. I feel like someone is going to jump and take him in the first 10 rounds.

I thought he was healthy to start the year, then got hurt after 2 or 3 games. My mistake if I was wrong. If true, then I guess that's good news.

I think he'll easily put up .300+ AVG & 10+ HR's next year. Both he & Cabrera.

If Webre leaves because he didn’t get enough playing time as a true freshman, then good riddance
