Piped in music in Tiger Stadium is always gonna be horrible to someone. Not everyone has the same taste. We are there for football, not a concert. Embrace the Bon Jovi.

And yet no piped in music would be horrible to no one.

Piped in rap at a football game = crying baby at the theater. Both suck since I’m there for other purposes.

See...the thing is...this is only true so long as you continue to pipe in music at all.

I swear...some of you younger guys may not believe this, but there REALLY WAS a time not all that long ago when simply being in Tiger Stadium for the game and being entertained by our own band during lulls in action was plenty enough entertainment. It did not require some a-hole hitting play on the nest Jock Rock CD in order for Tiger Stadium to be considered one of the greatest venues in all of sports.

Sadly, somewhere along the line we allowed tiger stadium to be normalized into being much like most every other stadium...which is why you can have a post like yours which seems to miss the point entirely. There is no need for piped in music, regardless of what kind it is.

It's crazy...all the things that have made Game Day on campus incredible over the years are the very things which made us unique...and yet, we seem to have an administration which is running towards making the experience EXACTLY like everywhere else, rather than embracing our uniqueness.

Equally bad is the Peloton commercial that seems be shown 30 times per day, no matter what channel I'm watching.

Purple Lamborghini was only played twice last game, compared to about ten times the first game!

It started when they took Mike off the sidelines. was one of, if not the coolest tradition in CFB.

I went to a Texans game this weekend (first pro game in awhile) and also watched the LSU band's performance from this past weekend on youtube. One felt like a football game and one felt like Las Vegas. You guess.

It’s all sucks. But I think it’s also done for recruiting.

Does Alabama pipe in music or is having a good program enough? I'm not saying we don't have that, I'm saying why don't we find out.

Tolerated in one generation is accepted in the next, face it guys, with people like this dude aspiring to be like other schools (or even worse, the NFL) we’ve lost the battle. Still fun to go but Tiger Stadium has lost its identity, mystique and allure.

Well, shite fire! Why don't we just ditch the phukkin' band entirely and let phukkin' Nickelback play pre-game?

Yes they do but there are a few differences. First they have a good sound system. TS system is horrible quality.
Second they play a lot of popular music during breaks.
Lastly, the crowd likes the songs which are kind of planned at certain breaks and they wave them pom poms to them like there is no tomorrow.

Let me give an example. TS loves when they play Callin Baton Rouge, Louisiana Saturday Night, Sweet Caroline, etc. Bama plays a variety of music that the wide spectrum of people enjoy either for their state culture or popular trend. I dont remember them playing anything that I could not identify and follow along on.
