Pariah, each of your posts is about Leon and how "awesome" he is. Quit being so obvious.

And I had no problem with the move. O'Chinko hasn't done a damn thing lately. Why not?

WAS I TALKING TO YOU? IF YOU DIDN'T HAVE A PROBLEM WITH IT THEN WHY DID YOU RESPOND? THIS IS FOR THOSE WHO HAD A PROBLEM WITH IT. THERE'S A LOT OF THINGS OBVIOUS BUT I'LL BE ALL NIGHT NAMING THEM! DON'T YOU HAVE YOUR FAVORITE PLAYER? WELL LEON IS MINE AND HE IS "AWESOME" BECAUSE IF HE WASN'T THEN HE WOULDN'T BE AT LSU NOW!

right move but it did not have to come to that, Dean should have taken the lead if our D would not have been caugt sleeping on the play at home earlier

Ochinko is 0-7 this weekend. Landry has started to hit the ball again the last few games he played. It was a lefty/righty matchup. Mainieri told us he would likely do this. It didn't work out, but it wasn't a bad move.

I'm curious to see what Mainieri does today with a righty on the mound. He said he may play Landry in LF and move Schimpf to 1B. Not sure I want to put a guy with no experience at 1B with so much riding on this game.

No one would be posting any of this shitte if Leon would have homered. Give the guy a break. He didn't screw up the perfect double play.........

DID NOT LOSE THE GAME IT WAS TYLER HANOVER!
hanover had a chance but missed it, true. but, leon left critical runners on base. ochinko is a MUCH MUCH better hitter this season and lately. plus he was due. i don't think there's any question ochinko had the better odds of getting a hit.

why say ochinko looked lost when he had just drawn a walk? any time you get a walk, that's good baseball.

btw, i didn't say landry lost the game, mr. caps lock. i said the move by manieri probably lost us the game

WHAT YALL HAVE TO SAY ABOUT ALL OF THE PLAYERS WHO DIDN'T DO A DAMN THING TONIGHT THAT ACTUALLY PLAYED!
i have to say that those "regulars" haven't been hitting BELOW .200 IN THE SEC and have been WINNING GAMES, unlike landry. that's what i have to say genius

SO HE WAS IN A SLUMP
pal, i don't think you can call what landry is in, a slump. this season, he just isn't good. the season's almost over buddy and he hasn't shown ANY signs of improvement.

HOW IN THE HELL IS HE THE WORST HITTER
have you looked at the team's batting averages for sec games? if you did, it would answer your question

How many Ochinko left on base?

Anyone blaming Landry (or Mainieri for making this move) for this loss is a fool. The odds of anyone getting a hit in that situation is about 30%. On the other hand, the odds of a 3B turning a routine ground ball into at least one out and probably two is much greater.

There's plenty of blame to go around for the loss. Landry should be near the bottom of the blame list.

I trust the Coach. The tigers played great in the top of the ninth. Ochinko may have been due, but who knows. You can say Landry was due against the righty

Ochinko struggled tonight and he showed a little frusteraton at the plate.
no more so than anyone did against routt. plus ochinko drew a walk which is very valuable. he wasn't struggling as much as some people are making it out.

Landry has been getting ome pinch hit at bats and why not give him the oppertunity to get some confidence in his swing before we get to the post season
i agree, but not at that particular moment. if we had won, i say play him all day today. that would have been great because EVERYBODY wants him back in the lineup

quote:

Plus Landry has a nice glove. I like Mahtook but I really think he is better in left or right and Landry's glove in center.
totally agree

had he gotten a hit and a run scored, hanover's error wouldn't have been nearly as crucial

unless you happen to be someone who has been HORRIBLE behind the plate all season long. look, i think lsu really needs landry back but let's face facts, he's not a reliable hitter this season.

i don't disagree at all. but, it was a crucial move at a crucial time. heck, i would have pinch hit pontiff before landry. pontiff has shown a knack for the pinch hit over his career.

i do too wholeheartedly. over the course of a season, his moves work FAR more often than not. this was one that didn't. we still have a chance to win it all today because of manieri's coaching and the very solid team he's built.

no, i wouldn't say that at all since he hadn't been in the lineup all game

I think Buzzy has been a better pinch hitter than Pontiff personally, but I haven't checked stats to verify that. Although, like I said before, I didn't really have a big problem with the move.

I guess you want to ignore what Landry has done the last few games to make your point. That's fine.

What has Pontiff done to be a pinch hitter in a critical situation? .239 last year and .225 this year.

so, just because LSU lost, everyone needs to blame it on someone? Pathetic. Tyler Hanover didn't lose the game, the team did.
