Bama is the most overrated #1 since BYU in the 80's. They've only played 3 teams with winning records (Georgia, Kentucky and Ole Miss). The remaining 6 teams have a average of 3 wins this year. Bunk.

My bad. Wrong key. Didn't make it for that game, but had just built my first house and had a housewarming party (wifes thing) and I was huddled around the radio all night long.

OK .. I am assuming that something was said about LSU will win when pigs fly .. and that when LSU DID win it was the headline in the paper about PIGS FLYING. RIght or not??

I remember the "Oranges Game" in 1970 when LSU beat Ole Miss 61-17.

Seems like I remember a writer named Tommy Hicks writing in his column in the Mobile Press just before the LSU-Bama game in 1993 that pigs would fly over Alabama if LSU won. Well, pigs flew and Tommy Hicks wound up eating crow.

I thought it was the Morning Advocate's Sam King making the comment in his column...then having to eat crow for a long, long time afterwards....
