That's a ton of years to maintain a 75% record..I know UT had been slipping as of late, but hell they had made the SEC championship game in 2007 and almost beat LSU. I wouldn't have fired him (or Solich at Nebraska).

Philip Fulmer (Inside College Football)
Tennessee is no worse off now than when they fired Fulmer. College Football is about competing to win championships. UT wasn't consistently doing that when they fired Fulmer, and they aren't doing it now, but at least they took the leap to have potential to reach the pinnacle.

If Miles keeps throwing out mediocre seasons as he has the last two years, I hope we make the same bold move regardless of the outcome. You'll never win dick being a p*ssy and being content with 8-4.

Another X-Box guy spouts off.

Now we have a quote from Phillip Fulmer, an expert in running a program into the ground...

The year before Fulmer was fired,2007, Fulmer and Tennessee played in the SEC championship game for those who forgot.

What does this mean? Are you implying because you suffered through the Cholly Mac years and have had season tickets since the Vietnam War and OMG we should remember the 90s that we should be thankful Miles is coach of LSU?

Go back to your video games and let the real men discuss the game son.

No reason to get into an argument with anyone over this. We'll never agree anyway.

Nothing to argue about. You were wrong but that happens to the best of us. Life isn't like your video games.

"Just told LSU fans to "get a life" when asked did he think Les should be on the Hot Seat. He talked about the winning %, recruiting, bowl games, and NC.

Did he talk about LSU's 8-8 SEC record the last two years? Did he talk about OL and QB recruiting? Did he talk about game management? Did he talk about QB development?

Sounds like a Sunshine Pumping out of work coach looking for a job.

After he didn't get the Vanderbilt gig right there in his own home state, Les should have hired him to coach the Offensive Line this season. That would have been an improvement over Stud.

Fulmer and Chavis together again.

Would there be enough Krispy Kreme and Dunkin Donut shops in BR to meet the demand?.........

What am I wrong about? And life isn't like that awesome weekend trip with the Mrs. to Branson either, but unfortunately you'd probably need to have been born after the Ford administration to know that.

What kind of a moron are you? Nobody, CLM least of all, is satified with an 8-4 season, which, by the way, no Miles coached team has had.

And don't be running down Coach Cholly Mac. He had some great teams and many great players, and he achieved a lot at LSU. The guy was a class act and nobody needs to feel shame on his account!

And why don't you just throw in the Vietnam War. I am sure that you thought a lot about it. I left LSU in 1970 to enlist. I was going to be drafted anyway due to the lottery. I'll bet you never had to think about that! I am even more certain that you never thought about going in harms way for the benefit of our way of life.

You have no class. You are thoughtless, and I hope you can someday get hired to flip burgers. Please don't spit on them!!

LSU went 8-5 in 2008 and 9-4 this past season. But no, we weren't 8-4 at the end of the REGULAR season either of those two years, if that was the point you were trying to drive home.

There is one glaring difference between the CLM and Fulmer situations. After the 2001 season, Tennessee's recruiting classes either weren't very good to begin with or did not pan out. Les continues to bring in stellar talent.

Before you post something about the QB situation, save it. Les has several months to get someone in here who can learn the system for a year and play in 2012. Unless all hell breaks loose, LSU will still have some unbelievable talent on the field along the O-line and at the skill positions. The most the new guy will have to learn is whether to hand off to K. Hilliard, A. Blue, Spencer Ware, or Gore, not to mention any other studly running back who comes LSU's way.

Why did you reply to me with this? I support Les Miles, I have always respected Fulmer and I have not even considered ranting about the QB situation. My only concern there is that the Tiger offense becomes a little vanilla while they develop some more QB depth. Nobody wants to see eihter JJ or JL injured!

Oh...and about handing off to the RBs. We tried that with Hatch and the two former backups who we now will depend upon. It worked fine against the likes of Appy State and Tulane...not so much against the likes of SEC competition. The Tigers will need balance.
