List is garbage without Clark listed somewhere. I guess they don't watch the games...

They watch every single play for every single player.

Each player is given a grade of -2 to +2 in 0.5 increments on a given play with 0 generally being the average or “expected” grade. There are a few exceptions as each position group has different rules, but those are the basics. The zero grade is important as most plays feature many players doing their job at a reasonable, or expected, level, so not every player on every play needs to earn a positive or a negative

Why is he a Butkus finalist then? They don’t know how to evaluate LB play?

50% of the list is made up of sports writers. Don't think Terry sitting in the press box played linebacker anywhere.

Also the other is made up of scouts. I would be impressed with Clark on ability and wow plays if I was scouting him.

He’s been making plays all over the field. He always finds the football and is around the tackle.

He’s been making plays all over DOWN field. He finds the football after he gets caught completely out of position or shooting the wrong gap or getting completely blown off the ball.

He plays MLB and this D got absolutely ANNIHILATED by the rush this year. Damone Clark is a world class athlete but he’s essentially the hottest stripper in the strip club. Has the body and physical talent but that’s where it pretty much ends.

Preach. It's a weird hill to die on but I will die on this hill with this take.

That’s because PFF is an advanced statistical model that grades you on every play against everyone else who plays the same position. While Clark has racked up tackles but he’s been an awful LB within the scope of the position.
No, it’s because PFF has always sucked at grading linebackers, even for the nfl

Unless you also beleive Devin white is a bottom tier NFL linebacker as well. He is one of the worst starting linebackers in the NFL both this year and last year by PFF

Pretty impressive of the Mizzou kicker but would like to see the FG distances broken down further.

Anyone recall Cade's 3 misses? Obviously, two were 50+.

That is complete horse hockey. You have been reading the Rant instead of watching the games,
He is the only linebacker and one of few defensive players who could/did tackle Arkansas QB, Jefferson one on one in the backfield. He also outran Alabama running backs before they could turn the corner.
