I've been reading some of your complaints about CPM over the years and this year. Also about the team this year.
I'll tell you, if your a natty or bust type of fan.... I don't think you'll be getting any more of those with CPM at the helm. Just don't see it.
About this years team, some of you need to relax. There's a lot of new pieces to this team. They'll come around. The good thing is that the pitching is strong. Ultimately, that's what will take you to Omaha. The hitting will come around with more season. I do believe this team can make it to Omaha. The staff is obviously trying to find their best options with all the line up spins. I pray to God some of you dudes on here don't coach little league.

The results since 2017 have been fricking atrocious.

“86-58 (.597 winning percentage) since losing 2017 CWS championship series (32-28 in SEC)”

I agree with you somewhat, but you can't ignore the trajectory of this program since losing in the championship series three years ago. LSU will never be a school that is content with just making the postseason. It's Omaha or bust every year.

I feel for their kids, can you imagine the pressure they are under to be perfect 100% of the time?

We took a step back in 2018. In 2019 we had atrocious injuries. That happens occasionally, so that year should be ignored. If this year turns out badly then you have your trajectory. We'll see.

that's the problem. It's not realistic to think we are going to make it to Omaha every year.

From what I've gathered, those who act in the way you've described usually didn't play the game growing up, or completely sucked at it.

The people writing this team off now were probably the ones that said LSU wouldn’t make the ncaa tournament after being swept by Texas last year. This team will look completely different come May/June.

We have seen this for 10+ years now un CPM. His teams start off slow he tweaks the lineup up finds the guys he can trust and then they go on a run in May and the SEC tournament.

I agree. That's what non-conference is for. Find the guys who are going to help you throughout conference play and into May.

But it’s really not because if LSU went to Omaha 5 years in a row but didn’t move out of the first round that wouldn’t really be good enough would it?

Would it be ok if LSU made it to the finals & lost 3 years in a row?

Point is that unless it’s the NC every year some fans will not be happy & I don’t care who the coach is no one is going to win a NC as much as LSU fans expect

When I have watched a coach follow the same routine for 12 regular seasons I have no choice but to believe the trend will continue as I don’t have the ability to tell the future like some do on the rant.

The days of any program being a dominant program in college baseball nowadays are over. We dominated in the 90s because we were one of the only programs trying to dominate.

Once the big time TV money from football and basketball started to hit the power 5 conferences, ADs needed to find places to spend it. And a lot of them have chosen baseball as a place to spend it.

That's why you see the Power 5 becoming more competitive in baseball across the country.

We have not really been surpassed by any programs, but we've been joined at the top. We have to work a little harder than some of those programs because we don't have the natural recruiting advantages those programs have (like simply being in a state that produces the most talent, or gaming the scholarship system).

That may have been true a few years ago but you need some offense as well. We’re not talking just about power. We need hitters up and down the lineup.
