So, you play the 3 teams in your pod, 2 teams in each of the other 3 pods. Doing it this way, you have a home and home with every team in the league every 4 years.
Better than what we have now.

Texas and A&M are 90 or so miles apart and have history with a great rivalry. They should be in the same Pod. Our 4th should be our geographical rivalry with Arkansas. ?
Texas am does not even want Texas in the sec and if that's inevitable they for sure why not want them in the same pod ... Sec will probably give them that bone which is why Texas ok ark and Missouri makes sense and AM lsu miss and misst make sense

With pod scenario, how would regular season champion be determined? Could be multiple teams with identical records. Tie breakers?
And how do you pick championship game opponents?
And how do you pick championship game opponents?

Agree with this, it's not really a new concept. The one thing that I don't like with the 9 game conference schedule is that you would have more away games every other year. It's a minor thing in the grand scheme of things, but it does make your schedule tougher every other year.

SEC SOUTHEAST CONF. is tx. considered south, I guess it is compared to mislo. , okla no way south. Why not change the whole damn USA split all teams, SEC will beat up each other and big 12 whatever they r now ...it’s just more BS ! Make all conf same amount of teams , same-playoff champion formula etc. Same non drug test for weed that is legal in certain states, I mean this looks like more injuries to me and it just SUCKS !

You understand that permanent opponents only exist because Alabama has to play Tennessee and Auburn has to play Georgia every year, right? Those four teams will vote against expansion if they can’t play every year.

So LSU could potentially have a season where they play:
-State, Ole Miss, Aggie
- Florida and Georgia
- Auburn and Bama
- Texas and Oklahoma.
Would be fun, but damn, no one is making the playoff with that schedule.
