I may have missed it but I have not seen it discussed post game. Was there an explanation as to why they put him in there on the 1 yard line?
It was a cool gesture but I feel like we have a stable of running backs that probably deserved that touch. Maybe it was a makeup for totally misplaying him all season. Hey sorry we had you playing zone coverage all season when you could have led the nation in sacks.....so here's a touchdown

i think it was because it's a bowl game and who gives a shite
i'm not saying it to be rude, but it just seems Kelly likes to have fun and throw some wrinkles in the last two bowl games

No idea, but I can tell you he wasn't expecting it. The entire sideline starting yelling "PERK... PERK" during that timeout and he had to scurry to find his helmet and get on the field. Maybe it was something they had practiced for the bowl game but he certainly wasn't ready for them to call his number at that point. Was pretty comical. I heard them calling him, saw him run off and thought "there's no way he's going in on offense, right?"

The second effort he gave is why we scored there. He was stopped but powered through the tackke.

That's what is presumed but I just felt like there would be more discussion after the game. I don't even think the announcers knew. I think they actually said that it was Emery

I look at this more that it was a coach's decision and you should ask him or HP4 rather than a bunch of contrarians on here who dont have a clue.
The only commment I have regarding it is that I also did not understand it but did not have a problem with it either.
