He's a great athlete with great measureables. Not an every down player even in college.
If you watched with a discerning eye, you would have seen team easily scheme him out of plays or run right at him with great success.

I will never forget his inability to get into the endzone on the OU INT which IMO cost LSU the game. He was lucky to even get the ball...a DL in the middle of the field deflected it to the sideline. And he STILL couldn't get the pick 6 when all he had to do was beat the QB.

Of all the things to bring up against Perkins, you go with this? Lets forget for a sec that MVB threw a ridiculous int the next play instead of walking into the end zone. On the INT it was 3rd down and Perkins was man up against the slot WR who was on a shallow cross, and even if the throw had not been tipped, he likely makes a tackle before the first. The ball was indeed tipped and he caught it near midfield and while yeah, he probably should've scored, its not like he was loafing. A fairly athletic QB had the angle on him and pushed him out.

It also happened to be one of the better games of his career.

I wouldn't draft him either, but the OU game would certainly not be the reason why.

Did you watch him play while he was here? On paper he looks wonderful. Then he gets on the field and ….well MIA.

Guy coming at him and he uses awful technique to get a season-ending injury.

Talking about the MVB stupid INT is valid BUT that doesn't take away from the fact that it never should have come down to that. I think it is funny you assume Perkins who is a chronic miss tackler would have tackled the WR had it not been tipped and ultimately caught. BTW, I didn't say Perkins was loafing so don't know why you even brought that up. I said that it was ridiculous that a supposed fast player caught an INT in the flat and with one man to beat...a QB, he couldn't eiither outrun or guy or what he should have done...cut it back inside to score.

But hey, keep blaming his lack of a pick 6 on that play to MVB for throwing a subsequent INT himself.

He’s going to get his arse kicked at the next level, a thorough arse-whooping every day in practice. Then he’ll be cut.
