You don’t think it’s a possibility? Not trying to be an arse or anything but it certainly doesn’t look good.

They had to add the Guice and OBJ stuff too just to really make LSU look bad

Sure, just like it was over a year ago. Basically nothing has changed since then But the same clowns are all worked up again.

As witnessed by this whole CoVID football thing (and throughout the rest of history) the NCAA is the most useless organization ever created. "Amateur" sports that generate billions in revenue, but don't pay them, and if you do, don't let us find out (unless you're Duke, Kansas, or Kentucky), and if we do, comply with the investigation or maybe don't for the best results. FCK em. I'm sure the conferences are perfectly capable of organizing their own tournaments. And that is the only benefit I'm aware of that the NCAA offers. Pay players what you think they're worth in the open. Be done with all this made up clandestine bull shite that exists in one, single "industry" because someone way back when wanted to control it themselves.

every single rational person knew this was occurring. The homers buried their head in the sand, but everyone else knew it.

There has been very very few if any people on here who were saying they thought Wade or boosters or whatever were not hooking up players on some level. What almost everyone has said is that they haven't done anything that every other school isn't doing and it is constantly talked about by those involved with basketball about how recruiting has been a slimy business for decades. This is why they advocate just paying players/letting them make money off of their name if they can.

True. But, this does not seem like a scenario where nothing will happen to LSU. I think most people would agree with that. The story won’t die and there’s probably a good reason.

As an Auburn fan, I'd remind you that nothing happened to yall with Cam Newton.

Great job, NCAA. Now do Duke.

Don't care as long as football isn't affected.

Just fire him and be done with it. Others do it but he was stupid enough to get caught and isn’t cooperating. The guys a cancer and B-BALL is going to get hammered because of him. He’s a bloody fool. Where’s the burner phones you idiot? He should have been trained better by the other cheaters.

It seems that is still very much a possibility given the recent reports.

They are the same reports we’ve been looking at for a year plus. LSU hasn’t blinked and they shouldn’t.

If you’re at a table, a bad poker player will do everything in his power to convince you how good his hand is, when in reality he’s holding a low pair hoping you’ll back down from your aggressiveness

That’s been the NCAA the past year, constantly trying to bluff their way into a victory, meanwhile LSUs athletic department has sat there calling every raise and waiting for the cards to turn around

Pretty sure something would have happened had an AU coach been caught on a wiretap talking about strong arse offers.

There was plenty of just a circumstantial evidence around Cam. I'd argue that there's more evidence he got paid than of Will Wade doing anything, but it's not really necessary for this discussion. Don't play dumb just because he's your guy.

The report that 11 players ( or family) received benefits is new, no?

IIRC Cam's dad admitted he got paid it was just that Cam didn't know.

Maybe it was his dad shopped him? Honestly can't remember.

Yep. This is all actually good news. The NCAA is the police judge and jury and has admitted they can’t do shite so they are trying to pawn this off on someone else. Don’t blink don’t talk. The funniest line in the advocate article was the NCAA being pissed because they wanted the phone calls in an organized excel file but got them in a disorganized PDF. wade. Don’t do their work for them
