Agree, Miles does a lot better if he had Saban players.

First year QB......3 injuries on the OLine.....Huge loss on D with Reid leaving game, Kwon injury, Hurst leaving team, etc.

Miles supporters think he can do no wrong and no other coach can replace him. His successor at Ok. St. is doing better than Miles did so would he not be better at LSU?
Ok...now you have gone full retard.

Bama got extremely lucky getting Saban. Bama and LSU are, and have been, the top programs for a while now.
I never said I wasn't happy with who we have or our record since he has been here. I just refuse to be an "everything is good" fan when i see glaring weaknesses that if improved would make LSU even better.

Nobody in this thread said Miles should be fired. Just realize what you have isn't gold. It's silver.

Who do you want as coach that is a realistic alternative, Jethreaux?

If things play out, Saban will have earned 4 crystal balls. It isn't an arguement if Saban is better than Miles. It is a fact. Miles is a good enough coach to keep LSU as a top tier program.

The call I had the biggest problem with was not punting instead of attempting the last FG in the first half. It is highly questionable the kicker can make it, try and pin them back inside the 20 and I don't think they even attempt to move the ball. Go in 7-3 at the half.
I liked going for the 4th down but not the play selection. The onsides kick was a half yard from being successful. The fake FG, maybe they saw something on film and thought it would work and Bama did something different. Don't know.
That said, as in almost every call made, if they work, the guy is genius, if they don't, not so much.

Who I want and who we'd get are two different things. LSU has a track record for promoting coaches from middle tier programs.
I don't think it would be anybody that's a legit coaching headline or superstar. Someone that's about on par with Miles- runs a clean program and is a family man.
I have no faith we'd hire anybody better than Miles- not because none are out there or available.

Ideally, I'd take Gary Patterson all day long.

And he has done that. I just think when a coach makes $4 million a year he should be called out on questionable decisions. It doesn't mean you aren't grateful for his success. No one is void of criticism....it comes with the job.

If you can't enjoy this run of LSU Football then you must be young......
and miserable

Ok.....
Maybe he'll step up to big boy football at Arkie or something....we'll see how it pans out for him.
Miles is proven

I feel the same way. Wing finally looked like Wing so maybe he pins Bama inside the 5. That forces the Tide to be perfect & play conservative beginning that drive. Even a 3 & out, with Bama backed up, would have given LSU an opportunity to get a field goal maybe before the half.

Does gundy have a better record at Ok. St.?
Yall want to act Like LSU is great b/c of Miles when he wasn't a great coach before he arrived here. Miles should be thankful he had the opportunity to come here.

If you can say Saban left Miles in good shape....then it applies for Gundy as well.
Miles beat OU and gave that program confidence and Gundy has sustained it.
kudos to him

I don't care what he was before he got here...but I'm not stupid enough to not see what he's done for LSU since he's been here.
fricking enjoy it and stop being a bitch
You bring this on yourself with the Saban comments and sucking off Bama. It's ok to question Miles when he makes a mistake but you and Cajun are miserable.

Everyone enjoys winning. I don't blame Les for the loss saturday night even if i didn't like some of his calls. It is what it is....had they worked we definitely win but I think we could have won with out gambling. He did a great job with the gameplan.
The last minute TD drive happens all the time against great defenses. Sometimes you just have to give the other team credit and not blame your team for losing. Bama won it happens. Now the Florida game I feel we should have won but didn;t play or coach well.

I didn't realize great college coaches had to double as legit NFL coaches. I mean, it happens so often; everyone knows great college coaches = legit NFL coaches.
Media creation of a dumbass irrelavant story. Big surprise.
