Perhaps they run more nickle this week.

Have you watched State this year? Why would you play anymore nickel than we have. The answer is we BETTER play less nickel. Need to stack the box and play man on the outside

Baskerville led the team in tackles vs uf dude. Wtf are you talking about? He replaced phillips that game. Even if you werent wrong about baskerville, you can't say that will be the case for our defensive line this week. We have to get prodction from somwe here if fehoko is gone, which means someone else will have to step up and play. Idiot.

Think his dad could just suit up instead? Just don’t let him take his helmet off.

Justin Thomas has looked horrible in the few snaps that he has played. I can't imagine that he is a better option than throwing Shelvin out there. I know Shelvin is a NT, but I'd rather see him in there, with Ed moving out to DE, than have Thomas out there for any meaningful snaps. Not to mention that he is very undersized.

Someone has to step up. Eaux is a championship coach. Championship coaches don't lose games at home to inferior opponents bc one lineman is out. We will be fine

Jump back to a 4-3 or even a 4-4. Let the DBs do what they do and more help up front

So your worried about not having the bodies since Fehoko is hurt and you wan to add another lineman? Also you can't just switch between an odd front and an even front willy nilly. The schemes are very different.

You're going to need a rotation at NT bud. Can't just throw Shelvin out there and expect him to play the entire game.

That's honestly a great question. Who is going to rotate at nose?

Easy... Load the box and play man on the outside, keep Fitz contained and make him throw, with our DB's and his inability to throw the ball down field accurately we should be fine.

He wasn’t ready to play in that game. Consistently over pursued, made tackles down the field, gave up a lot of yards after contact. Simply wasn’t as physical as Phillips.

I can tell you dont know a lot about defensive fronts. In a 3 man front you have a nose that is pretty large to plug the middle, Your DE's are guys that would normally be DT's with an outside Linebacker walked up on the line. Moving to a 4man front out of a 3 man front takes a DT off the field. Seems like we have more DE/OLB's than we do DT/Nose....

Now to my next point, you can swap to a 3 to 4 or 4 to 3 man front by shifting your alignment with who you have on the field. On the fly you many not have ideal players in those respective positions but it can buy you time to get better players on the field. At this level these kids are amazing athletes and if you think they cant play a different position, cant sub for a few plays, havent played a different position before you are just sadly mistaken.

I understand that you may have been an offensive player or never played football, but I played football in all different levels from 7 years old until I was 29 mainly as a LB or DE, I would like to think I have a pretty good understanding of Defensive alignments and schemes

You are missing the point. We don't have the bodies to play a 4 man. You are taking one of your best lineman off the field by going to a 4 man all while not really having any 4 man front DE's on the roster. Also Aranda plays a 2 Gap NT when Alexander is in but if you noticed when Fehoko is at nose he's a 1 gap player usually. I've been around football my entire life. Did you know LSU plays a gap control scheme? I get you likely understand schemes but THIS LSU scheme I have insider knowledge on how it works. Nothing against you bud as I'm sure you're very football smart but this scheme is different. Give me an explanation of a "gap exchange" on a down block. Again not trying to put down on you. Just pointing out your premise is flawed and you likely don't have a firm grasp of this particular scheme.

Yep load the box and make Fitzgerald beat you by throwing the ball. I mean on the very first play im putting 8 people on the line of scrimmage

Yep. Cheat up on deep routes and play the underthrown ball.

I want to see Stevens in for Battle and camped out in the box, as others here have suggested.
