I did not hate the “O” hire – just a little disappointed.

LSU defeated two teams with winning records and lost to an average Mississippi St team and a Sun Belt team. It is argued by some the Auburn win was more about what they did than LSU and Texas A&M was only one game above.500.

LSU met or exceeded expectations as to won/lost record but not many envisioned BYU, Florida, Tennessee and Arkansas being as bad as they were.

I think the verdict is still to come but I do believe he has the program headed in the right direction. I also think an 8 – 4 record next year could be better than the 9 -3 this year.

It will take some time before anyone know for sure if this hire will result in championships or not. Time will tell.

I was going to ask if this was a joke, but then I saw who posted it.

Besides the troy game, O did Excellenet in his first year. Just think the perception if no Troy loss. A 10-2 LSU with a win over Auburn. Likely top 10 or close. Prolly even get in NY6 bowl over Auburn.


That said, the counter argument would be the horrible teams faced this year which includes 4 teams that fired their coach. The Troy loss obviously is undefendable. Even the UF win looked like the grace of god by the end of their year, how bad they were getting dominated when it took a missed PAT to win. I wont say losing to MSU is unforgivable but the manner in which you lost definitely was.


I'm on the fence basically on how he'll be. I wont let this year confirm the hire as good yet. Apart from Troy and Auburn, Ed O and LSU did what they were supposed to. They beat the bad teams and lost to the good ones.

Next year will really show what he is made of. The problem is that next season is BRUTAL. LSU plays Miami and Georgia with their QBs returning as well as Bama and Auburn. Season could get ugly and out of hand quick. There's no time for Brennan and the team to develop during the season. And the voices will be loud if things go south.
