What are the chances that waters goes pro? I know it’s early, but if he keeps up his play as of recent, would he even be looked at by the nba? Or will his size keep him in college longer?

TIA

I have read his height may keep him here for one more year

He’s the same height as Isaiah Thomas and we all saw how good he was in the playoffs last season. Waters can do it.

Slim, but you never know.

I would not expect him for 4 years, but I think we have him for 2 or 3.

He can ball but his height is going to work against him. Not offensively but when he will have to guard larger guards who can put the ball on the floor. Dude is electric!

He’s gone, and it’s really obvious to me.. He’s averaging some of the best numbers in the country.. controls the game, has a great shot, and is quick off the bounce

Clueless.

He's not a sure one and done guy like Simmons. Waters is great, but there is a lot of season left. Will have to see how the rest of the season plays out as teams try to figure out how to stop him. His size is going to be the major drawback on him. There is certainly a decent chance of him coming back, but have to see how the rest of the season goes. He could raise his stock big, drop it some or keep it the same. If it stays the same I would guess he is back next season.

He's 5'10-5'11 on LSU roster which makes him really 5'9-5'10 without shoes. He will be here 3-4 years. Remember Isiah stayed at Washington 3 years.

Not just his height, but his build is thin. He will have trouble guarding at the next level.

I would imagine nba teams would be hesitant based purely on size. He obviously has the basketball skills and IQ. I wasn’t inferring he can’t do it. Just don’t follow basketball and nba recruiting/drafting that closely

He was the #43 ranked player according to 24/7 coming out of high school. He’s 5’11” at best. He will be here for likely another 2 years IMO.

He also has to get a little more muscle. His height is something to overcome but he also needs to get a bit stronger as well. Depending how offseason goes I think he’s here anywhere from 1-2 more years.

They just compared him to Tyler Uliss which is a good comparison. Similar size and style. He stayed two years and was still only a second round pick.

We have him at least one more season, and that is really all we need with talent coming in.

I'm sure that will only help the situation, but he is likely back anyway. Unless he is absolutely dead set on going to the NBA.

He has to stay one more year to play with the recruits coming in. Also, more experience never hurt anybody. He can obviously play, but is still very raw and sometimes out of control at times. But Waters is no doubt very skilled and could be a dominant assist guy in the NBA. Needs to work on touch driving to the basket with his floaters.

I think his stock is rising minus his size. He may need to bulk up for the next level. However, his vision is superb. His release is fast on the shot and we've all seen he can shoot from NBA distance. He's making passes only a handful of guards in the NCAA can make. I see him being a second round option towards the end of the year, which will keep him here another year.

Thomas left after his third year and three all-conference selections. Drafted last that year.
