HAHA i can GUARANTEE the ENTIRE student section will be full for the ENTIRE Bamer and UGAy game. When it comes to games vs the gumps and the dawgs compared to games vs MooSt and NTexas what would you expect dude? Come back for those games, and i guarantee you will be singing another tune and you wont be able to hear for a week

ike ive said a hundred times its not our student sec., its all the fans who leave early.our subs bust arse in practice , they finally get in the game and do something good and there are 20,000 left to cheer them on, pretty shitty if you ask me. we are the national champs and all year we cant wait for football season and then we cant stay for an entire game it bffales the hell out of me. there is plenty of time to party after the game and the traffic is just a pitiful excuse to leave. wake up LSU FANS or our reputation will be over. it took us alot of years to get our reputation lets not lose it.

I would like to know what the atmosphere was in Happy Valley five minutes into the Temple game. I would imagine the N Texas game was eerily similar.

jeez, man. You sound a little bitter.

While I agree that as a whole, the Greek section is a bit more tame, at least we don't have the immature idiots starting "frick you _____" chants, and a lot of guys who have absolutely no knowledge of football and would rather just dance and cheer with the band. Yes, I know not all guys in your section are like that, but there are quite a few.

Also, at least 60% of our section are sorority girls. There is a much lower proportion of girls in the regular student section. You can't honestly expect all sorority girls to be diehards that show up early and stay the whole game against a team like MSU.

quote:

they get there at or after kickoff, and take the whole first quarter to filter in.

First off, there are only a few sorority girl stragglers that filter in the 1st quarter. And don't blame Greeks for not showing up way before kickoff. We pay more for our seats and they are reserved so this allows us to enjoy ourselves at the tailgate for an extra 1-2 hours before heading into the stadium.

quote:

Half of the time they're there, they're sitting down

We do not sit half of the time. That's just a lie. Later in the game, we'll sit during some long timeouts, especially if the game is in hand and the rows of sorority girls are sitting in front of us. It's also nice having backs to our seats.

quote:

After half time they start talking about their parties they have to get to, and halfway through the third quarter they leave to go fondle each other in the shower...

These are just the sorority girls you're talking about. And don't act like there aren't a lot of students in the regular student section like this.

You're right...lumping yall into the same category....no bitterness, but the sorority girls do piss me off because they always talk right behind me while walking in/out of the stadium. I kind of jumped to conclusions a little too quickly, so let me rephrase...take most of the sorority girls' tickets and give them to someone who'll stay at and watch the whole game.

it's easy for you to target the sorority girls b/c they all sit together in large groups. Imagine if all the GDI girls were lumped together in the stadium. I'm sure you would be saying the same thing.

As far as us not being loud and obnoxious as we should be, I agree with that. I blame this on one main thing.

Fun police - This includes the rent a cops who tell us to "keep it down" and the band director who has taken away every cheer that was deemed "offensive"

quote:

The only "problems" with the student section sit on the other side of the purple wall and where the band used to be....the greek section is by far the worst in the student section, they get there at or after kickoff, and take the whole first quarter to filter in. Half of the time they're there, they're sitting down. After half time they start talking about their parties they have to get to, and halfway through the third quarter they leave to go fondle each other in the shower...they should get their seats taken away instead of the majority of the student section who stay until the end.

As for you Mr. scorned GDI douchebag, you are fricking stupid. My fraternity's tickets are on the other side of the infamous "purple wall" that you speak of. I don't show up until about a half an hour before kick off, true. However, last time I checked, the team isn't playing football a half an hour before kickoff. I'm sorry I don't feel like watching a bunch of guys stretch their hamstrings and toss the ball around. I know that's probably the extent of your sexual activity for the week, but I would rather be hanging out with my lovely date, getting those last few bourbon and cokes in. I don't know who you see sitting down, but there are just as many "normal?" students sitting. Probably because they are winded from blowing up the beachball to play with during the first half. I'm sorry you were a douche that went through rush and got cut the fraternity that made the mistake of giving you a bid. However, your attacks of homosexuality are very silly considering the fact that all the girls that you spent all week looking at and trying to gain the courage to ask out are walking straight to old row for a band party. As for the "normal" kids staying for the whole game, I guess you weren't there last game when the section was over half empty at half time when it a 7 point game.

You suck at life, no girl likes you and you are destined to remain a bitter virgin for the rest of your life. You should consider taking a nap in one of the wood chippers that line the streets of baton rouge these days.

ok...once again i stand corrected, let me change my previous statement...

If anyone in the student section leaves the game before it's over and it's not an emergency, they should lose their season tickets. (But maybe focus the season ticket removal efforts more on the sorority girls sitting in my vicinity)

I'm pretty sure you started it with the "fondle one another in the shower". Also, notice the excessive length of my post. It took me a while to write that one. People are always dogging on Greeks for everything for some reason and it really bugs the piss out of me.

I'll agree that there are a ton of sorority girls who go to the game for 6 minutes, have said hi to all the people they know, and are satisfied having made their social appearance. That is lame and they should have their tickets taken away. I wish they would swipe your ID when you left too. I stay for the games and enjoy every minute of it. I also take a great joy in singing the alma mater.

W/E just stop hating on Greeks for no reason

Rage on

I'd prefer not to see Tiger Stadium turned into a rave party. Could the white glow sticks be next? But to be devil's advocate, PSU seems to grant the students a bigger chunk of the seats which is the right thing to do. Yeah it's great that the big buck TAF folk donate. Thanks for your support guys, but college football games are meant for the students first.

Just some thoughts.

Just seems though our student sections have shrunk since I was at LSU in the late 90's and early 2000's.
