Hasn’t it already been determined that the pod system is OUT of consideration?

Perhaps, I have not been following as of late. Perhaps others can chime in. 2 giant divisions?

LSU is keeping A&M. Both schools want it. Some younger fans don’t realize the history that LSU & A&M have.

I will never forget the 1986 LSU/A&M game to open the season. A&M was ranked in the Top 5 and Kevin Murray (Kyler’s Dad) was their QB. They were so arrogant but LSU beat that arse 35-17. Sammy Martin had a key TD reception from Mickey Guidry to turn the momentum in LSU’s favor. Michael Brooks had an interception late in the game to seal it. Jackie Sherrill was stunned.

I won $500 from 2 Aggies I was working with at the time. I had LSU & 7. They could not believe LSU kicked that Aggie arse. Lol.

I don’t care when we beat ole miss. It matters when we beat Florida

You do know we could lose to Florida every year and still win the National Championship (2003) but the same CAN NOT be said about Ole Miss?

Alabama, Ole Miss, and Florida should be our every year opponents if that's how they chose to schedule the expanded SEC

The only way losing to Ole Miss costs LSU is if it is a tie breaker scenario like 2003. LSU & Ole Miss tied for the SEC West Championship but LSU advanced to Atlanta by beating Ole Miss. A Florida loss counts just as much as any other SEC loss or win.

Most LSU fans don’t give a schitt about Arkansas. Arkansas thinks LSU is their rival and they think LSU feels the same but we don’t. The boot and entire made up rivalry
is a non factor. LSU and A&M have much more interaction as both fanbases overlap and LSU has a huge Alumni and general fan base presence in SETexas & Houston. LSU and A&M recruit many of the same kids. A&M is the closest SEC School to LSU and most LSU fans truly love to beat that bunch of booger eaters.

There's not going to be pods. The 3/6 schedule will be 3 teams LSU plays every year. 1 of those 3 will be TAMU, but TAMU will not necessarily play the same two other teams as LSU.

I can see LSU getting Ole Miss (decades of history), Arkansas (means a lot to Arky fans, plus that huge trophy) and TAMU (already playing them on rivalry weekend). I'd love to keep UF, but I don't think it's going to happen. Bama will get AU, Tenn and Vandy because Birmingham will want it that way. AU will get Bama, UGA and maybe UF. Texas will get OU, TAMU and Arkansas and then every other year the other teams will rotate through on a home/home basis. Every 4 years fans/players will have the opportunity to see every stadium.

It's long over due...

LSU has actually played A&M more than they have most SEC teams including Auburn and Florida. We go way back. It’s a rivalry. Don’t care what they say.

With the number of teams in conference you have to go with at least 9 SEC games to have a legit conference.

Yes, decades ago LSU used open their season with Texas A&M year after year in Tiger Stadium. Don’t recall these games ever being played in College Station; always in Baton Rouge.

Florida /Georgia is a traditional rivalry game but I suspect the LSU game gets them more fired up.

They aren't going to have LSU and Bama keep playing because of Saban. Alabama permanents will be Auburn, Tennessee and Vandy.

Most LSU fans disagree with you. I bet you don’t live in South Louisiana or SETexas. You may now claim you do but I bet you don’t.
