Whether you like it or not people that get paid to evaluate college baseball thought lsu should beat ccu. I was wrong in the fact that i said CCU didnt win their confs. No one thought ccu was a better team than lsu this year. Lsu had the higher rpi. Lsu had the national seed. Lsu was the favorite to win. Deal with it.

So tell me. What pointed to CCU being better than lsu prior to the series?
Lsu had a higher rpi
Lsu was the national seed.
Lsu was the favorite.
CCU had a batting avg of .300
LSU in vastly superior conf had .287
CCU era was 3.48
Lsu era in a vastly superior conf was 2.60.
So please tell me what i dont get.

I guess you missed the part where I never said CCU was "better" than LSU coming in, but that they were every bit as good as us - which they showed to be. They had an objectively great year and should have hosted a regional and been in the discussion for a top 8 seed. You can say "LSU was the favorite" all you want, but it doesn't take away from the fact that anyone that knows anything about college baseball understood that CCU was a great team this year that was playing lights out baseball coming in and would give LSU hell, if not take the series.

I honestly don't know how you can make that claim. Coastal was and is highly respected as a program and as a team this year. They were a team that many circled as a worrisome potential opponent coming out of Raleigh. shite I'm pretty sure several writers picked them to go to the CWS.

Lsu has slighty worse team batting average while facing better pitching.
Lsu had a far better team era.
CCu did have far better hr numbers. Almost double lsu i think.
Lsu was the favorite.
No one expected CCU to come into the Box and dominate lsu.
Lsu led for a total of 5 innings. I and just about everyone else expected a better showing. Thats was my point.
Yes its baseball and the worst team can sweep the best team but you expect a national seed to at least threaten the opposition.
All in all it was a great season and PM did a great job considering the turnover.
For the record i think PM is a great coach. My intent wasnt to shite on PM as a coach.

Well we will see soon but if u couldn't see that roster is better than LSU u are a very good judge of talent

Ccu avg .300
Lsu .287
Their opponents ERAs was also worse than lsu's.
So tell me how, during the regular season did their roster look better than LSU's.

Are you sure they didn't win the tourney title? Their schedule on their website says they went 4-0 in the conference tourney
They also easily won their regular season title going 21-3. The 2nd place team finished 14-10

I agree, great job on getting what we did out of this team. However, the issue is PM has been the coach for a long while now so the low expectations fall on him. He let the roster get to the point that it did.

He's just being nice. It was the #1 ranked signing class of 2014.
