Apples and Oranges. Most pitchers didn’t exit games in the 6th with 95 pitches. They pitched the entire game which led to 2 things:
1. The hitters got to see them a time or 2 more that game.
2. They fatigued and lost the explosiveness.
How far back does limiting pitch count go? MAYBE last 15 years.
