Just watched his preseason press conference on Geauxzone, and Im always impressed by this guy. Ive been around for a while now, and Ive never been more satisfied, or content,..or whatever then after one of PMs Pressers or Talk shows. He answers every question to the Nth degree. Im never confused about where the guy stands, or what he's thinking...he just tells it like it is...

Im amazed at how much hate this guy got a few years ago. He is really refreshing. I hope he stays for a long time.

paul is a great coach and seems to be an even better guy. hopefully he stays until he's done coaching and after, like skip has done.

unfortunately, if he has a couple one and dones in omaha in a row, the ranters will be calling for his job. book that.

great coach though, no doubt.

I'm a big Fan as well. First significant time spent around him was in Omaha last year at the team hotel.

I am just very proud to have him as our coach and the kids last year were also a great bunch to be around.

Winning is great, but Paul and his program is 1st class.

Maneiri is the best coach out there in college baseball! He won't leave here until he retires! Championships will continue to folllow him as he coaches too! He is a great coach, very good man, he can recruit like gangbusters, and we have state of the art facilities now to go along with all of that! LSU baseball is back, and will stay at the top of the College Baseball mountain for many years to come!

football and baseball are different animals often. football coaches always keep things discreet and it isn't necessarily a bad thing.

i don't think miles is trying to hide anything. I just believe that's how he thinks the english language should be spoken.

He is a great coach. At first I was skeptical because he's so soft spoken but damnit, I'll take that with championships and gorilla ball anyday. Whatever his style, it works!

I agree that it is very refreshing to listen to a coach and know exactly where he stands. I love the fact that he actually plays the best players whether it is seniority or not. The man knows how to coach!

I used to call him "The Sauce" - as in marinara sauce - back in his first year simply because marinara and Mainieri look similar. The name has stuck through the last few years now and we still call him "The Sauce" hahaha!
