re you really going to fall back on pure talent? Granted they are more experienced now. Never said said they couldn't spot talent.

And again I'm talking about coaches who are here now.

What are you asking? I mention players, and you say "Pure talent".

Billy Gonzalas has 2 NC rings, are you saying he can't coach? How about Ron Cooper? He has 1 NC ring, he can't coach DBs? Brick Haley can coach the Chicago Bears DL, but not LSU? Joe Robinson, the finest special teams coach in the country, IMO can't coach either?

WR's-----this past year great ath ---shep---no improvment

DB's---bad angles all the time and taking each other out of plays

DL---techniques could improve across the board

ST---some of the best young talent in the nation involved here.

I am not knocking the players. I have seen a shitload of great play by the players. IMO they give all they have, even when making mistakes they shouldn't.

Also IMO it's time for the coaches to step back and examine the job they have done. The same mistakes are made over and over again.

You are right, it seems as though we have a hell of a coaching staff (in most areas). So why are the mistakes not being fixed.

Coaches not capable? We will see......

Players to dumb? I don't believe that for a minute. I have watched them win to many games despite the coaching.

The sack/fumble had much more to do with this penalty and the lack of offensive line protection (not only on that play, but throughout the game) than a poor decision by JJ

How did having the ball at the 6 as opposed to the 12 have ANY effect on JJ's sack?

That makes no sense, IMO.

Just calling it like I see it. The last two years the OL was suppose to be great.

For the longest time the biggest gripe was that CLM would not give younger players a chance. This year he did, when he had no choice----only 9 seniors on team that played.

For two years the gripe has been the OC (he has been bad for 3). Will CLM fix this? There has been no kind of QB development since GC arrived.

Not saying I know the answer. Just saying CLM needs a staff like he had when he got here.

Players love him cause he is a players coach. Good for them. I have also seen what usually happens to a players coach.

The coaching isn't the reason for LSU's great record. Joe Alleva's letter is the reason for the record.

I wasn't crazy about his effort on that last play right before halftime. Looked like to me if he had kept running after the guy, instead of changing direction, he might have caught him. Just think he could have given a little more effort on that play.

The same ark player was in pp face on several punt fair catches. pp had enough. stupid penalty. and pp has played bettr on run support. he was shying away from several tackles rather than hitting the runner so not to advance another yard or two

Go back and watch film. One or two DB's were always taking a bad angle. You trying to say you haven't seen the DB's tripping on each other.

LSU made Ole Miss look like an actual team. The same with Tenn. UNC minus 13 players.

I'm not a negatiger. I'm also not going to say everything is fine just because a lot of fans are satisfied with LUCK as a style of coaching.

Only 7 posts and one of them is this?

Hate to say it, but you really do post too much.

Peterson is projected a top 5 draft pick. How do you explain that?

He's mad he played his heart out and regularly set up the offense and they did shite with the field position. He was frustrated and rightfully so.

Best summation. Average DB with large ego.

How's that Heisman vote coming? Since the pose in the end zone, been off the natioanl radar for all intents and purposes. Shut the freak up and play. Stop reading the headlines about being the best lock-down db in college. Let your work speak for itself.

I'm sick of seeing the arrogance and hubris of these players, reclassified as swagger.

No one ever choked to death swallowing their pride. Much harder to do though when some one's stuffed crow down your mouth.

Never forget this... YOU PLAY A GAME FOR A LIVING!

Our D killed us in this one. It wasn't any one player, because they all seemed out of place on the big plays.

The offense gave up 200+ yds on 3 pass plays?

Ever since PP was called on the carpet for his Heisman pose in the end zone this season, he deflated. No excuses for him...I never saw the Ark player push...and if so walk away. Why degrade the team and fans.

Just a question. not a excuse.
Peterson called fair catch. The Arkansas player lets him catch it. Then the Arkansas player steps forward and chest bumps him. I agree on Peterson tossing the ball at him for 15 yards. But the Kicking team isn't allowed to touch the returner on a fair catch situation. So shouldn't there have been offsetting penalties?

Well we can sit here and say that in hindsight, I thought the same thing, but then, if the runner did get called for fair catch interference, Peterson would still have lost 15 yards of field position to achieve nothing.

I agree that is ridiculous to see hubris and arrogance reclassified as "swagger."

However, this
quote:

Average DB with large ego.

is just simply incorrect. You may not like Peterson because of the Heisman pose. It was a silly thing to do, but it bothers me much much less than all of the taunting that I see going on during games. To me, that pose came off as more goofing around rather than poor sportsmanship.

In any event, he is not an average DB. He has played very well this year and will be a first round draft choice. I suggest you re-watch the games and focus on him. He has been very good, especially when called upon to play bump and run coverage. This is one reason pro scouts like him. And his special teams play has kept us in many games this year, including this one.

And have you ever heard him being interviewed? He is confident but does not come off as arrogant. He is respectful and praises his teammates. Though I don't interact with the team personally, I'd bet he is well liked by peers and coaches.

Any yes that was a stupid penalty on PP, but the refs should have taken control and not let the guy get in his face and chest bump him (it was a fair catch, after all). Not the first time it happened in the game.

He's widely regarded as a top 5 pick and some rate him as the most talented player overall in the draft.
