the same game plan would've involved Jarrett Lee.

no ..the same game plan was to take JL out of the game...
it just happened a little earlier (as in-before the game started)

We actually started the game throwing. Though most of the throws were screens.

Great, so here's the strategy.

Let's throw it a few times and if that doesn't work, go to 3 yards and a cloud of dust. What if the run isn't working though Coach? "Just keep running, it will eventually work."

Why didn't we keep trying the pass to see if it would 'eventually work'?

Because that clearly was counter to the strength of this football team.

LSU was ranked 22nd in rushing offense and 106th in passing offense. You would have to be an idiot to think that the game plan should have centered around LSU passing the ball.

It was the pre-game movie selection! LSU saw " Contraband" , a terrible movie sensationalizing drug smuggling in New Orleans

your premise is correct, facts are wrong though.

LSU watched some Frazier/Ali thing about rematches. I said it the night of the game...if you are still trying to get your team to buy into a rematch the night before a game than you are done

ESPN reported the Ali/Frazier viewing thing FWIW

I still say some of the players weren't too keen on a rematch and it showed

Any way u cut it Les had no game plan! I guess he did not give it much thought. Boy we sure didn't look the #1 team. Ok. St. would have played them much closer. No one will admit it but it fricked up out recruiting big time. Will be interesting to watch what happens in the future.

The 'strength' wasn't working.

Bama ran counter to their personnel and surprised LSU and won the game. The D was on their heels because they weren't expecting Bama to come out throwing.

Hell, anyone could have coached that game from an offensive perspective and done better. My first move would have been to put JL in the game after JJ threw his interception - if not before. JJ was and looked lost the entire game. Anyone watching on TV could see that. It was the worst coaching performance I have ever seen in my life. I've commented on this b/f and still can't believe what I saw. Give 'Bama a lot of credit but we played right into their game plan. Ahh.....

After 7 years of watching our past...just spit balling here, I see a successful future.

Really, where were the Nervous Nancy's before 2002? What LSU football did you guys follow for you not to know that these are the very best of times for LSU football?

We got stuffed by Bama between the lines and on the side lines...kinda like we did a lot of stuffing in the 1st 13 games.

How much whining like a 2 year when he doesn't get his way do grown men have to do?

Totally agreed, Miles was ignorant to makes comments publicly about a 17 yr old Recruit that decided against LSU & Miles; after he saw how QB's an other players get treated if the aren't his favorites.
