I know he did a awesome job reurning last week, but with the leg cramps and how they are starting to happen at key moments. Is having him return kicks still a good thing and I also thought Mo claiborne was suppose to be the next patrick peterson, but he got benched in place of a true freshmen

After that performance, I'd have him returning kicks even if his legs fell off. They need to work on the cramping thing - that happened to him against Bama last year when he didn't return punts.

Actually, after the 97 yd fiasco, they rotated the three of them in and out.

BTW, if they can get PP7's hydration issues resolved, I would not be surprised to see him in the backfield a play or two - Miles hinted to this in the Presser (if you can decode the blabber). Said they had not tried it in the past because of the cramping issues, and are having to monitor the # of plays.

Talk about getting the best players in the game - SWWEEEEEEEEEEET

I dont know if he has already tried this but some pro's will go to the ER and get IV fluids before games.

Special Team blocking was at it best at the last game. I said a few days ago, He needs to stop returning kicks after this first game. It was awesome but if the guy gets hurt by an ankle injury or a knee injury because of a full speed tackle or what not. We would lose one of the best corners in the NCAA over some stupid kickoff returns that Ron Brooks or any other could do just as good if given the chance, the blocks were there.

PP get hurts returning, then you guys are going to said why was he returning. A lot players that return gets hurt it would only be a matter of time before PP does to if he continues to take this route.

I highly doubt they have to go to the ER to do this, lol.

You think he did that JUST because the blocks were there?

You have to know how to set up the blocks, when to cut, then you have to have the agility/acceleration to make those cuts.

Without Peterson's "stupid" returns, we may not win that game.

Yeah they don't go to the ER

I'm willing to bet the reason he went to thr locker room early near half time was to get an IV.

Patrick Peterson should play like this:

Defense is priority no 1. His return game should be secondary.

He should be used the way the Saints use Reggie Bush on kicks and punt returns. When we are in plus field position, put him in. Fair Catch required, put someone else in.

PP's importance on special teams is directly responsible for us winning that game. Yes it's great to have a lock down corner but 250+ yards on special teams if very important to us as well. If we can have our cake and eat it too, then let's eat! He can get hurt at any time any where on the field playing DB or PR.

No one is going to say that because everyone but you pretty much want him doing it because they see how good he is at it. And they also see the value of special teams which you apparently don't.

This is just BS.

T. Mathue rotated in with PP and MC. And people thought Mo Claiborne would be good, but I don't know if anyone thought he would be the next Patrick Peterson. Besides, MC is a sophmore getting his first playing time, so he's going to have some growing pains.

As for the cramps. You think they would give him an IV before the game or make him eat a banana or drink pickle juice or something.

Didn't Skyler Green get hurt returning a kick off in 2004 against Oregon State?
