Give me the 1 hour. It would bring more satisfaction than the 5 mil.

I'm sorry this happened, but how is this the Malls fault? They have security, but bad people will still do bad things.
I agree with this. The problem here isn't the mall - it's the shite culture that has contaminated every square inch of most cities.

The game, though, is sue and settle out of court to get big $$$$$.

Here's a scenario...if you were the parents, God forbid, and you had a choice of being paid 5 million dollars or you can have one hour (no holds barred) with the scum who fired the weapon that killed your child, what would you take? Now, this is one hour to come to any conclusion possible with no penalty against you at all, even if the perp ends up choked to death!
I would rather have carte blanche to go after the loved ones of the killer.... comanche or mafioso style... Make him hurt.....

They should be watching groups like this very closely. Security is supposed to be protecting people. The mall did indeed fail to have enough security. Good quality security costs money and they made a financial decision not to have it. An innocent girl paid the price for that.

I feel terrible for the parents, but frick attorneys and their 40%.

Not terrible enough. First, I know a lot of attorneys and I don't know any who charge 40%. Also, you would have a different attitude if you were seriously injured because of the negligence of another person. Or if a member of your family was injured or killed. Good attorneys help people and the best ones don't spend millions of dollars on billboards and TV commercials.
