He still coached a year after that happened. Surely that didn't help things, but if you recall they won their first few games and that kinda went by the wayside. Then he lost 6 of his last 8 and then Michigan cut the cord.

I’d trade O straight up for either of them right now.
And I don’t think either is a particularly good HC.

So many Debbie Downers on this thread...you all sound like a bunch of old ladies at the nursing home arguing over who won the last pot of bingo. Why don't you all aim that resentment for Coach O and his program toward something more productive? Try getting behind the Tigers and support them come hell or high water. That is if you are really Tiger fans! Or maybe you're a Tulane fan just trying to muddy up the waters here. Either way, STFU!

Muschamp learned on the job at florida. he seems to be doing well at usce and just might turn out to be a damn good HC one of these days.
sumlin never learned shite. he's a qb recruiter extraordinare but seems to promise them all playing time and then loses them. the SEC west was bigger than him and he never grasped defense, recruiting or coaching. in the SEC, you must have a formidable front 7 and corners that can play man or you just are not going to win. maybe az is the place for him.

I can’t help but repeat it. Orgeron is the biggest rehired loser out there. LSU is such a joke for this and allowing him to add a lot of his unqualified goons on staff.

Example
Reporter- What was the problem in the first half coach?
Sumlin - We have to execute on defense. Our secondary is getting burned and getting passed on route execution.
Bad Coach example
Reporter- What was the problem in the first half coach?
Miles - Well I was the first one to call a time out, but the stadium lights are not working properly so I don't know.

Do u guys watch much football? Sumlin sucked as a coach! If it were not for Johnny football he wouldn't have lasted as long as he did!

you are sorta right ... but he was only a few plays from having a totally different season.
you will see Jimbo succeed his first year, as Sumlin left a lot of talent.
