New baseballs are in play. But pitchers are usually ahead of hitters early on. Wind favorable to hitters (8-10 mph out to center). Only 5 innings.

O/U set at 2.5

Results:

Over: 1
Under: 9

We'll have no hits and Les will say the offense is where it needs to be

I'll say one homer. I've heard mixed reports on how the new balls are carrying off the bats.

I'll wait till it heats up and hitters have time to get back in a groove before I make a conclusion.

From everything I've read the new balls aren't going to make nearly as much of an impact as most people are saying/want.

All they have done is lower the seams (reduce drag), they did not use the livelier core that is in the MLB ball.

But here's to hoping it makes an impact, the long ball needs to be back in the college game.
