Miles already has in his head that it was just execution so he thinks running the ball at Auburn will keep their offense off the field.

But not to change the thread, I think we see over 9 passes for Harris.

"We certainly had a want to get him more involved in the pass game but the opportunity did not present itself" - Les Miles , Sat. 9/28/14 post game presser.

It's New Mex St.....Does it really matter? Both our D & O lines should dominate this powerhouse opponent.

Clearly an excited group this morning . On a more serious note, I hope Harris is over that number, but I wouldn't bet on it.

New Mexico State defense on average gives up 299 yards vs the run a game... So I will take the under...

This. I would not be shocked if we ran for close to 400 yards on this team. It is a lose-lose situation though. 400 yards on the ground would be pretty "baller", but that would mean the passing game got ZERO work, which would infuriate the masses.

The issue isn't infuriating the masses, it would be a wasted chance to work on something that desperately needs live game work. It also emboldens Miles to continue down his path when we roll shite opponents. Problem is auburn aint new mexico state so they will swallow up our predictable runs.

Good lord.

This is absolutely the worst case scenario. LSU will run the ball like butter against a pathetic scrub who has a weak run defense. Then Miles will think LSU has found their offense. LSU will run a goal line rushing offense against Auburn. LSU will be down by 28 points before Les Milea changes the offensive game plan.

Which will be higher?

Harris passing attempts OR
Jennings rushing attempts

my problem with saturday is that even though the score might be 41-0 at the end of the game, will it be because LSU was executing the calls and the play book?

or will it be because LSU just bullied a weak arse cupcake team?

i'm honestly leaning towards thinking miles sitting on the ball and running it 50 times to get the game over as soon as possible and not focusing on working on much of anything of the passing offense.

If LSU only throws the ball 18 times tomorrow I will most certainly be ready for a new coach. Almost there now.

I don't see very many passes in the game for either QB. We will run the ball to secure the safe win. If L. Fournette is to have a break out game, this should be it. If he gets the opportunity and does not make the most of it, then it means he cannot, at least this year, live up to his hype.
