3 most important players on offense:
1. Mett
2. Faulk
3. Lonergan
3 Most important players on defense
1. Simon
2. Logan
3. Reid
And by most important, I don't mean best. I just think that these are the guys that REALLY need to step up for LSU to have a championship season. If they do, a lot of other things will naturally fall into place.

hilliard, but Hurst, Williford, and PJ are going to win us a few agames too.

I think it's clearly Logan(then Reid). We have talent, but nobody has stepped up besides Logan at what might be the most important position on the entire team sans QB. We all think Freak will be great, but he hasn't really shown he can do it consistently. He's not even solidified a starting spot. Ego hasn't shown any consistency either.
I think Brockers was a huge loss--much more substantial than just his production stats. If Logan goes down--what was one of our biggest strengths last year and not only helped hide our bad LBS, but led us to our best regular season in team history--becomes a huge weakness. At a position where you can't afford to be weak. Even if Freak and Ego turn out, our depth would be severely lacking. It's too early to count on QT and MJ for quality snaps. Might have to slide Lavar down.

Yep. I was just debating among Reid, Simon, and Logan when I read your post. Without Minter we are very inexperienced at LB.

Where are we not the deepest? CB. Simon is the correct answer.
Good point. There are so many, but logically, this makes the best sense.
