Because we have owned Alabama the last 9 of the last 12 meetings...Beaten them two seasons in a row and are playing at home with a better team this year than last years.. Stupid prediction given the added motivation that will be on LSU's side this time around...oh yeah, we are playing at home too home field hasn't meant as much in this series, but LSU wants this game badly..

Did you watch the championship game? They beat the hell out of us. We didn't exactly play well against them the first time either. I think the game is very likely toss up. We had plenty of motivation in the bcs game, how more motivated can we be than to win the championship, we just came out flat. Take off the purple and gold glasses

But this guy has never, NEVER, EVER said one syllabale positive about LSU. Not even neutral or just uniformed ignorance - just unabashed contempt, seeming vindictiveness.

38 unanswered points in the National Championship game against OSU is why he is butt hurt...one would think he would be more pro LSU after that...in terms of how good LSU can be...

I love the new standard LSU has to meet annually to prove they are better than Bama.

Beating them once in their back yard isn't good enough. Oh no. LOL.

who cares what some guy picks in an upcoming football game. i'll bet you this guy doesn't bet his mortgage on that pick. looking at this series since saban has returned should turn away any big dollar wagering on either side unless the bettor is very rich or very stupid.

There is not one guy in the media that hates LSU more than Robert Smith. I believed he picked Miss state last year to beat us, certainly arky and bama.

Yes, every second

yes I know they did...but we were plenty good enough to beat them in their house by more than 9-6...If we played them 10 times, we win 6

Alabama's mind set was.."We can't wait to play them again"....

Ours was "Didn't we already settle this...I really don't want to have to deal with you guys again, you know since we one the SEC and all"

I agree 100%. You reverse the tables, we would beat bama by at least 10 in the same game.

I am just saying bc some one says alabama will win doesn't make them an idiot. He is an idiot for other reasons. This game is always a close game and could go either way. They don't have anything to prove and neither do we. I like our chances bc teams rarely repeat for the bcs. But its not ludicrous to think they might win.

Exactly. It's sad that we have to not only beat Bama, but beat them to a certain degree for some to consider it a determinative "win."

I am so tired of this "either way" crap. If we beat Alabama, it is because they beat themselves. But, if they beat us, it is because they are the better team. This shite has got to stop.

2011 says otherwise.

They NEVER have to prove anything, apparently. Just show up and wait for it to be handed to them.

Like another poster says, what is the threshold LSU has to meet in order for it to count?

My guess is at least three scores. 17-21 range.

We're up shite's creek this year. According to Bleacher Report, it'll be easier for them to gameplan against us now that we have a Qb who can actually throw the ball. And now Robert Smith won't even pick us to win? No chance this year. I hope we can win 6 get qualify for a bowl game.

We won fair and square and lost fair and square the second time. The rules of the game apply to each. We should never have had to play them the second time in my opinion but what happened, happened. For 2012 I think they lost a lot more players this past year than we did and we gained by subtraction in the QB. With a little improvement in the QB play I really like our chances.

still a vast majority of bama fans with their stupid gump logic think they didn't lose but just didn't win that game.

No doubt, I lurked on TideFans for a while after the game and some Gumps literally said 11/5 "proved nothing", and that we needed a rematch to "settle it." I wanted to respond, "settle what?" We WON the frickin' game! It really is Bizarro World when you have to wonder whether you beat a team bad enough so as to not have to beat them again.

Why do some people get all jacked up about predictions like this? They have a really good team. Its not out of the realm of possibility. shite, he didn't say ole miss would beat us and run the table.

BTW: I hope he is wrong.

Well to be fair, the game winning kick was off center by 3 inches
