After last season, Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly promoted Lance Taylor from running backs coach to run-game coordinator. Taylor, 38, has a dreamy résumé. He coached under Nick Saban at Alabama and Shaw at Stanford. He worked for the New York Jets and the Carolina Panthers (twice). Taylor coached Christian McCaffrey and Bryce Love with the Cardinal. This season, sophomore Kyren Williams has been a bright spot for the Irish, whose 229.7 rushing yards per game are 50 yards more than their average a year ago.

Show me the offensive line of those teams. All MUCH better than LSU's this season. E is not the problem

I would rather have a coordinator who believes in spreading the field out and putting players in space. If that means running the RPO too I'm all for it. Having a QB with legs is another weapon that someone on the D has to be responsible for.

Yes he fricking is. Our o line is bad yes but God our run scheme is unimaginative. Steve is not a good oc, I'm sorry.

The Tigers had first and goal from the one against Mizzou and couldn't score. Punch it in and LSU wins. I don't care how bad the o line is, one yard is on E.

Linehan calls the goal line plays.

So one series tells you that E is the problem? One year after the best offense ever?

When that series (shotgun zone run) had the same problems at Miss St 1st and goal from 4, yes it’s on E for no vision to fix until a catastrophic failure was realized.

Last year Burrow had offense lined up with 20 seconds on play clock, time outs were wisely used, creative run designs with combo routes were incorporated.

Now we find out A&M knew our shift signals on the OL last week and we failed to adjust.

None of these obvious challenges occurred when Brady was here, so yes E and by default O is the problem.

How would he help our run offense? Can’t run the ball without a decent OL especially in this conference

One upvote for having the balls to use "dreamy" in a post.

Heard the same arguments in 2018. Its impossible to run for more than 2 yards a carry unless you have 5 5 star offensive lineman. Yup. Not steves fault
