Screw Saban!!! When will people realize he freakin LEFT us high and dry.
He is NEVER coming back and I would prefer Miles any day!
I lived through the times when we never beat the Gumps and had no where near the success we have experienced in Miles tenure!
Who are we going to get that will win more!!!
I would "love" to hear who this is and just be so enlightened!!

You shouldn't get a raise for just doing your job. You should get one for exceeding expectations.
I don't know what you do for a living, or how great you are at your chosen profession, but this statement is just plain dumb. I would venture to say that a large percentage of those who hold jobs barely live up to the intended job description, much less exceed it, and most will get a raise here and there for just "doing there job".

Correction. Some of the fans are morons, and some of the fans are excellent fans. The groups of LSU "fans" that need to go find a new team are the following:
1. People who are always whining about Coach Miles
2. The frauds that leave Tiger Stadium in the 3rd quarter.
3. The losers who are more obsessed with getting drunk and tailgating over supporting the Tigers.
The aforementioned fans need to go root for someone else.

they need to remember who we almost ended up with as our coach, when SABAN left he thought Houston Nutt should have been our next coach, told our AD as much.

Most of the time - yes, the coaches do. But on some occasions they have fallen short of adequate leadership and professionalism.
IMO, the players always play hard but sometimes come up short in game knowledge and technique, which is the responsibility of the staff. If the staff has coached those situations adequately, but players have not changed behaviors, (missed assignments, penalties, unforced turnovers,etc.), it is not the coaches' fault unless they continue to play those guys.
Again, we should be pleased if we see continued improvement.

Miles is not our best option as coach.
I have no confidence that Alleva and company could bring in a coach that would meet the demands and expectations of LSU fans/alums. Mark Emmert is long gone too, so LM probably is the best option for Louisiana State University right now.
Are there better coaches in the country than Les Miles? Of course there are, but I don't think the current administration could bring one of those coaches in here. Better to stick with what we got, tweak it for the better (Offensively) and move on.

Let's just remember the Nega Tigers are a minority. I even suspect many of the posts on this board are trolls from other schools. Some of the most negative continue from posters with less than 1,000 posts.

Judging by the comments regularly on this site, Jesus Christ himself could not accomplish this.
That being said, I am not a fan of Joe Alleva, but it has nothing to do with this episode. I hate the changes made to the gameday experience by the current athletic dept administration. I hate the "friendly emails" issue by Alleva. I hate the blatant and unnecessary money grab that is going on right now. I'm not a fan of taking away a home game to go play in Dallas every other year. After the Duke Lacrosse scandal, I can't believe LSU gave this guy a job. Although, he did keep his mouth shut during the whole JJ incident last year. I was scared to death of what was going to come out of that office during that incident.
I for one am glad he is doing everything he can to keep Les Miles here and happy. I'd hate to see what would be here if Miles left.

elprez makes the point that scares me the most as well. I do not trust Alleva with making the most important hire in LSU's history if it had taken place this yr. Do you really feel safe in Joe having the ability, let alone the gonads, to go out & find the best available/practical coach? That thought takes the fear of the unknown to a whole different level. And for all his ranting & raving, Saban's "stepson" has yet to come forth with another realistic name as a replacement for CLM.

IF Saban was still at LSU, LSU would not be winning three of the last four. Saban would NOT be garnering the love he currently gets from the media if he was here. Sorry to burst your bubble.
Saban loses to Bama as LSU's coach in 2011, Saban and Bama go to the Sugar Bowl and there is NO 3 of 4.
