I don’t think I’ve ever seen him once take a handoff. Seems like yesterday everyone was showing his HS film and saying he’d be a star and I’ve never seen him play. Probably should have tested him at LB at some point

Les Miles was running a three-year program with a promise to get to the NFL. Unfortunately he didn’t plan out for the fourth year. Our selling point to come to LSshoe was we will get you to the NFL, not that we Will win you a college football championship.

David Ducre

Scheduled to graduate in May. Eligible to transfer without sitting out. He ran a 4.45 40 at 235 #is in HS, and has never found a decent shot at the field. He has one year left in college to show his talents. Hope he stays, but would not blame him if he transfers. Ironically, if he does, it looks like 2018 is his best chance to get substantial RB playing time.

So bama had 12 players with diplomas alone to start the season and LSU has 7 seniors. WTF.

So all these Juniors leaving tells me that O has not inspired enough confidence in them that next year is going to be anything worth staying for. Not only does Saban keep more juniors, but he's got 'em stacked several players deep in case one does bolt in which case he's got several other 4-5* players ready to go.

Saban has the same number of juniors declaring as we do this year. Saban is able to keep more because he has 4 and 5 stars sitting on the bench for 3 years. Saban has out-recruited college football by a mile the past 10 years. You don't build depth like that in one recruiting cycle. Blaming Orgeron for that is ignorant.

Joh Battle isn't done yet?
Might as well be, he should just declare. He'll be taking PT from Jacoby Stevens and Eric Monroe, one of which would be starting opposite Delpit.

I've never heard of any of those guys. Did any of them play much this season?

LSU has been the only other school as consistent in the top 10 in recruiting the last decade. One of Sabans best players is returning and this season they broke the record for most players with degrees before the season.

That's pretty encouraging - Miles' last official class, BTW.

who? The running back that doesn't project as a high draft pick in a loaded class for running backs?

yet they are miles away from what Saban has put together.

dumbass really drove your point home, good for you... but since you mentioned him, he has a lot to gain by returning financially. Saban also lost 5 of his best players who declared early for the draft. Tre'davious White was that guy for us last year

I didn't say we haven't recruited well, we have just not recruited on the level of Alabama, no one has. Alabama has never recruited outside the top 4 since Saban's first year. They are on a current run of 6 straight #1 recruiting classes. That is a HUGE gap

Let's get them here and have them play/frick up off the field/fail/transfer before we start bashing our own players.

Aren't you at least encouraged that the 2017 class appears to look way better in person/on-the-field than they did on signing day - so many true freshmen contributed this year.

Can you concede that little tiny bright spot among the black hole you consider the Orgeron era?

(ETA: And you either agree we needed OL and DL like it was nobody's business in this class or you don't. If you do, you can't bitch about the underwhelming ranking or the lack of 8 more 5* WRs or 7 more 5* DBs - we needed beef and O, God bless his little "in over his head" soul" - delivered.)
