What’s the point of padding a record by beating sister mary’s School for the poor.

I want A quality opponent and a quality win.

I would think that for the sake of ticket sales, the LSU administration would prefer a bowl game closer to home that fans can driver to.

You should have mention race car drivers going to the bowl as a LSU fans!

State almost lost to Arkansas yesterday. They could easily lose the Egg Bowl
Wonder why it is called the Egg Bowl? Maybe when one is the dominate team and then laid an egg in the game!

LSU fans won't travel to any of those matchups
That's why it will be the Texas Bowl in Houston vs "LSU fans favorite almost LSU Head Coach" Tom Herman and the Texas Longhorns..........

If Auburn loses the Iron Bowl and we beat A&M we both are 9-3 with LSU winning the head to head. State would also be 9-3 winning the Egg Bowl. While LSU would on paper be No. 2 in the SEC West and No. 3 SEC overall, I could see us being the No. 5 bid SEC team.

The league makes the decision on which bowls teams are assigned to once the CFB playoffs and New Years bowls are determined. The bowls and TV networks probably have some input but there is no pecking order followed and various subjective influences are involved.
