I've actually had people tell me that OU dominated that entire game in 03. We got lucky from their perspective.

That's pretty funny considering our D shut them down the ENTIRE game. They scored their 14 points off of turnovers. They blocked a punt to set up 1st down at the LSU 3 and it still took them 4 plays to score. Then, Mauck floated one over the middle that got picked and returned to the LSU 29. OU later scored after a penalty converted a 3rd down for them.

Both of our Offensive scoring drives were 80 yards to go along with a Defensive TD. In addition we had a FG taken off the board with a penalty and gave up the ball twice inside the OU 10 yard line.

I think it was pretty obvious that game was not as close as the final score. The stats were dominated by LSU.

I can understand why they could complain about having to play LSU in the Championship game. It's like us having to play GA in the SEC championship game in Atlanta.

The arguement of them having to play Florida in the Superdome and it not being neutral is just dumb.

There is a thread on this board every couple of months where you all are still griping about losing to USC - IN 1979!! Pot, meet kettle.

That's not what this thread is about. OU fans are complaining that the game against LSU was in NOLA, so it was an unfair advantage. The game against UF was in Miami, and also an unfair advantage.

The LSU-USC game is a whole different rant. BTW, it was one of the greatest games I have every seen.

is that true? i thought our 1st scoring drive was after white threw an interception following mauck's fumble inside the 5

I was there last December. They were calling up and predicting scores like 56-7 and stupid stuff like that. They are way past delusional.

Yeah no shite...Alot of them were saying they were gonna put up 60 points on Florida, because they put up 60 on the last 4 Big 12 teams with shitty defenses!

That's because OU wins 99.9999% of the time in Norman against teams that they know they are going to beat in Norman. So the fans act like they are being gracious. But I was there when it looked like Bama was going to beat them in the 4th quarter and when Bama was driving they were the winniest sit on your hands fans you ever heard.

Actually try to break down how playing that game in nola was an advantage to LSU.

OU didn't have all of their friends there to distract them.

Tickets are equal.

Party in the street has no determining factor.

Seriously, has anybody ever challenged someone who says that was a home game for LSU? It's a myth.

Trojan.. Nobody complained about LSU losing to USC in a home game there nerd.

You should complain about the worst home loss in your history vs LSU in LA.

I think you are a closet LSU fan because you stay on this board on the time. If you weren't you would over on the USC board with the rest of the Rubbers.

I don't get why the rose bowl is always in LA. The big ten travels across the country to play west coast teams on the west coast.

OU does a lot of complaining when it comes to college football and they need to STFU. They shouldn't have even been in those two games anyway. It should have been LSU/USC and Florida/Texas

Whatever. I have to admit I'm typing on this board while talking on the phone. But hey at least I'm getting some work in. But, I stick with what I said. I think you secretly like LSU and the fans or you wouldn't spend so much time on this board.

Good one, Texastigerr! Hey, I do like this board. Probably the best one I've found. However, with only 27 (now 28) posts, saying that I spend a lot of time on this board is a little disingenous.
